Chapter 0089: Getaway

“Excited?”

“Of course. This is our first getaway. Even though it’s for the movie. We’re the only ones going.”

Kazuya and Chizuru were sitting on the bullet train headed to their destination.

They were comfortably sitting together while Chizuru leaned her head on Kazuya’s shoulder.

“Wouldn’t it be difficult for you to shoot the scenes by yourself?”

“Not really. The scenes that we shoot here are mostly going to be slow with minimal movements. They don’t really need more than one camera shooting either. I’d planned to shoot these scenes myself when we were writing the script since I wanted to take a trip with just the two of us this summer. So I had to get creative.”

“How do you even plan so much stuff…”

“When it comes to you… I don’t mind planning our entire future together. You’re my girl after all…” He kissed her hair.

“I was thinking something…”

“What is it?”

“About that ring that your grandma gave me…”

“The one that she likes to think of as a family heirloom?” Kazuya’s voice had some amusement.

“Yeah… What do I do with it?”

“It’s up to you. She gave it to you. But don’t think that it’s a proposal from my side. When I propose to you, it’s going to be an amazing diamond ring with a platinum band and the finest artisan having carved both of our initials into that diamond.”

“…That seems really specific.”

“I was just window shopping…”

“Well… I don’t think you should spend so much on a ring, but I know that you aren’t going to listen to me…”

“No, I’m not. Did you like the car?”

“It’s amazing, but I really didn’t need it.”

“It’s not about needing it. It’s about having the option to use it when necessary.”

Chizuru knew that this was one argument that she would never win against Kazuya. She had already tried all kinds of dirty tactics, but Kazuya was adamant about buying her expensive things.

‘If I don’t spend the money I earn on my loved ones, then who else will I spend it on? Charity? Pfft.’ Kazuya was not interested in being a philanthropist unless it benefited his public image.

“Whatever.” She aggressively hugged him to show that she was angry while Kazuya was thinking that she was so cute.

After the train ride was over, they went to the resort in the taxi provided by the resort itself.

“How much did you spend on this place?” Chizuru was surprised at how expensive the place seemed.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s all on the movie’s budget. We’ll be getting back far more from the earnings of the movie.”

“Why don’t you value your money, Kazuya? You should save up for the future. If you keep on spending money on-“ Chizuru was about to start going on her speech about not wasting money for the nth time and Kazuya wasn’t having it.

“Chizuru Ichinose.” He looked at her.

“What?” Her flow was broken and she couldn’t help but get into Kazuya’s rhythm.

“I make hundreds of millions of yen each fucking month. By the end of this year, I’m projecting well over five billion yen of liquid funds. This money that I spend on these tiny luxuries? It’s no more than spare change to me. So stop nagging at me about spending too much and let me pamper my girl. Do you understand?” Kazuya put his hand on her nape and pulled her face close to his, staring directly into her eyes.

Kazuya never talked to her about the exact figures. He’d told her that he made quite a bit of money from his applications, but he’d never talked about the exact figures. Now though, her nagging got to him and he decided to say fuck off to his tiny insecurity that she might be with him for the money. He finally told her the scale of his money.

And that was just his personal fund that he would be getting from his dividends. The company fund was going to be far beyond that by the end of the year.

Also, things weren’t that rigid. Kazuya would soon be investing massive amounts of money into his processor farm in Greenland. That figure of hundreds of millions of dollars seemed good on paper but they were going to quickly invest quite a bit of their money back into the company.

For a second there Chizuru was stunned at the figures of money that Kazuya just told her.

She was just stunned and wasn’t responding to anything that Kazuya was doing.

‘I guess she’ll take some time.’ She was basically working on instinct and walked with Kazuya as he held on to her.

He talked with his contact at the resort and they brought him and Chizuru to their room. Which was more of a villa than just a room.

There was a full backyard, an indoor artificial hot spring that was large enough to accommodate 10 people without any issues, and many more facilities.

“10 fucking billion yen?” She whispered to Kazuya when they were alone in the villa.

“That’s just the start.” He smirked when he saw her expression of disbelief.

“That’s amazing… but you should still-“

“One more word about saving money and I’m going to tie you up and shove a gag in your mouth before spending our entire getaway fucking you using different bondage gear.” Kazuya wasn’t kidding.

She sensibly shut up and stopped talking about the money.

“You don’t have any of that stuff here…” She was still defiant.

“This is one of the most expensive resorts in the entire country. I ask them to give me a sex dungeon, they will give me a sex dungeon within the resort. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are specific rooms for people with that kind of fetish.”

That effectively deflated Chizuru.

“Fine… I give up. I won’t nag at you about money.” She seemed to give up, at least on the surface.

Kazuya had been looking at her status in the Lovers’ Seal menu. He still noticed that [Defiance] was one of her prominent emotions.

Kazuya wasn’t proud to admit it, but there was a slight insecurity inside him that she was with him for the money.

He had kept an eye on her status since he told her about the concrete figures of his money but seeing that her status never showed [Greed] or any such emotion, he was completely at ease, knowing that she didn’t care about his money.

Kazuya gently looked at Chizuru, who was sitting on the couch with her arms crossed under her breasts and a pouty expression on her face.

“I love you so much, babe.” He went over to her and enveloped her in a bear hug.

“Yeah, yeah. I love you too…” She patted the side of his arm.

“Come on, let’s take a bath. We’ll go exploring after that.” Kazuya sneakily brought his hand under her knees and picked Chizuru up.

“Eek!” She made cute sounds as he picked her up.

“The bath’s amazing here. We basically have an indoor hot spring all for ourselves.” Kazuya brought her to the bathroom.

They played around in the bath for a few hours and when they were done they finally got ready to go out.

Chizuru wore Kazuya’s favorite red sundress that hugged her curves perfectly and made her look oh-so-sexy.

“You look amazing, babe…” He held her waist and brought her close to give her a loving kiss.

The resort had quite a few attractions and they both spent the rest of the day enjoying their time and exploring the area.

They also scouted out the places where they would be shooting their shots. Initially, there was a plan for a snow-based shot in the mountains but Kazuya scrapped it since they would have to travel quite a bit for that and it wasn’t able to fit the schedule.

By the time it was night, they were pretty tired. They’d enjoyed their time there quite a bit.

The next day was solely dedicated to shooting the scenes.

Although it was only Kazuya working the camera and mic, the scenes came out just as good or even slightly better than if they were shot by the crew.

…

“Amazing, no?” By the end of the day, they were lying on the grass in the backyard of their villa, stargazing.

“I think you’re more amazing.” Kazuya turned his head toward his girlfriend.

“You’re so cheezy…” She had a smile on her face.

These two days were quite a bit of fun for both of them.

“You know, Kazuya…”

“Hm?”

“Back when I told my grandpa about my dream to become an actress… He always cheered me on, from the very first day that I told him. He always believed in me… He promised that he would watch me make it big as an actress.”

Kazuya grabbed her hand to comfort her.

“After his… accident three years ago… I thought that maybe my grandma could fill in for him. I thought that if I showed it to her instead, it would get to my grandpa somehow… I was just projecting my foolish dream on her…”

“And when grandma collapsed… I felt like it was all over… I didn’t tell you about it but, I basically bombed all my auditions until you found me… crying in my apartment…”

Kazuya tightened his hold on her hand.

“When you told me that you’d make me a movie… It gave me hope… hope to fulfill my foolish dream… So, thank-”

“Don’t… Don’t thank me. I love you, babe… Never thank me for the stuff that I do for you… You deserve it and so much more. Also, I don’t think that your dream is foolish. It’s an amazing dream, you were just dealt a bad hand, now though… you got me, I’m basically a royal flush.”

“…I don’t play poker…” She was embarrassed at not understanding his reference.

“You’re so cute~” Kazuya couldn’t help but climb on top of her and kiss her.

He started peppering little kisses all over her face.

“Stop it~” She was feeling ticklish and weird.

“Never.” He kept going despite her struggles.

“At least let’s go to the room…”

“Nah… I think that doing it under the starry sky is much more fun.”

“What? No!” She was too embarrassed to do it in the open.

“Just trust me. It’ll be amazing…” Kazuya didn’t let her say anything and forcefully kissed her lips.

His hands started frisking around her skirt.

The rest of the night went by in a blur, with the stars being the only witnesses to their actions.
