Chapter 0074: Kazuya’s Birthday (1/3)

After acquiring the processor farm, Kazuya started investing more money into it and pumping its performance with a sheer quantity of processors. No matter how efficient his algorithms were, it wasn’t going to be possible to support the concurrent usage of millions without the right hardware.

He also had another goal, to make his level 5 AI. It was going to take a very long time before he was even able to start working on it since it required the kind of hardware that hasn’t even been invented yet.

Kazuya was going to supplement that with a huge amount of hardware for now, and once he makes a basic setup of that AI, he would let the AI itself take care of everything else on its own.

With that May also went by and it was already the 31st of May when Kazuya got a call from his grandma.

-Kazuya, I’m calling about tomorrow’s birthday party. I’m debating whether we should have pizza or sushi. Which would you prefer?-

‘Oh yeah… Tomorrow’s my birthday. And with that the family tradition of celebrating my birthday together. Such joy…’

-Let’s do sushi.-

-I thought you’d say that. By the way, another thing, when is Chizuru-chan’s birthday? We only…- She started droning on about her and Kazuya filtered her out as usual.

When she was done, Kazuya thoughtlessly commented that her birthday already went by.

-It was on 19 April. It already went by. I celebrated with her and everything...- That was when the floodgates opened.

-WHAT!!! YOU DOLT! WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY ANYTHING…- She started screaming at him and Kazuya calmly kept the phone at the side and went back to work. He was at his office and was working on the next project. His workload was immensely small and he only had to make the Machine Learning algorithms of the application. The rest would be done by the development team.

’Talk about an overreaction. She’s my girl, dude, why do you care so much? I can still hear your screaming when my phone isn’t even on speaker…’ Kazuya was annoyed at his grandma’s obsession with Chizuru.

-…That’s it! We’re making it a joint birthday party! You have to bring her here tomorrow.-

Kazuya didn’t bother to hear most of what she said and only heard the last part.

-Sure. I was planning to bring her anyway. She’s my girl, why wouldn’t I bring her to my birthday celebration?-

-Great! I have to take care of the preparations.- With that, she abruptly cut the call.

‘Damn, grandma… What are the odds that she’s going to cut my name from the happy birthday banner and write Chizuru’s name on it…’ He chuckled at this very real possibility.

‘Why is Mami busy…’ Kazuya missed getting the regular blowjob from his sexy secretary. He’d made it a habit of calling Mami into his office every once in a while before she sucked him off.

He didn’t get a glass desk for this exact reason. Sadly, Mami was at college today since she had some work today and couldn’t come to work at Nexus.

A few hours later, Kazuya left work to go to college. He was going to pick up Chizuru.

…

Kazuya was about to ask her to come over to his parents’ place for tomorrow’s party but she beat him to it.

“Kazuya…”

“What is it?”

“Can we go meet my grandma tomorrow?”

“Oh, any special reason?” He was curious about what brought this on.

“It’s just that she has one of her regular check-ups and I was going with her… I wanted you to come with me.”

“No problem, babe.” He kissed her forehead as they were walking back home.

“How long will it take? My grandma wanted me to bring you to meet her tomorrow since she supposedly missed your birthday.”

“You’re right… She never called, I was expecting something like this to be the case. I guess she didn’t know.”

“Are you talking to my grandma behind my back?” Kazuya had a deadly serious look on his face as if he just caught her cheating on him.

“Why are you getting so serious? It was just once.”

“That’s one time too many.” Kazuya was overly protective of her when it came to his grandma.

‘I wonder what he’d do if I tell him about that time in the hot springs when she’d practically molested me.’ Chizuru was slightly apprehensive of his reaction if he found out about that time.

“Yeah yeah, whatever. We should be free by 6 or maybe 6:30, we can go there then.” She hugged his arm and leaned her head on his shoulder as they walked in the moonlit sky.

“Perfect. I’ll let them know that we’ll be late.” Kazuya didn’t react much since he felt comfortable with her leaning on him like that.

“You don’t mind, do you?”

“Not at all. It’s just dinner with my parents and grandma. We can go a bit later. It’s not a problem.”

“Thank you…”

“You don’t need to thank me for every other thing, you know? You being here, with me, is more than enough.”

“I know. I’m still grateful though.”

“Then you can show me your gratefulness tonight.” His tone was suggestive.

“Uh huh…” She trailed off.

…

That night after their usual mind-blowing sex, Kazuya randomly heard a beeping sound.

“Happy birthday, babe! I love you, you’re the best boyfriend I could’ve asked for…” Chizuru wished him a happy birthday and quite a few mushy things before they did a few more rounds.

…

The next day, Chizuru woke him up with an amazing blowjob. She rarely did that for him but the times that it did happen were amazing.

After that, she got him breakfast in bed.

“You’re in full-on pampering mode today, huh?”

“Of course. You did so many good things for me on my birthday, I feel that this is the least that I can do. Especially since I’m hogging you to go meet my grandma when you could be partying.”

“I’d rather spend my time with you than party anyway.”

“I know.” She said in a cutesy voice and a spoiled smile, finally embracing the fact that she likes his cheesy flirty lines.

Kazuya spent some time attending to his phone calls and messages. Most of them were people wishing him a happy birthday. He might not hang out with a lot of people, but he maintained his social relationships quite well.

Since he had to go meet Chizuru’s grandma today and then go meet his parents and grandma for their party, he didn’t have any time for a party with his friends today. That was why he promised everyone that they’d all go out on Saturday for a big party.

By the time it was 1 PM, they left for Chizuru’s home to meet her grandma.

Kazuya took his newly bought car since they were going to take Chizuru’s grandma to the hospital after that. It was a BMW 8 Series Convertible that cost him upward of 140k dollars or almost 20 million yen after the modifications. It was neither cheap nor too expensive but he bought it on company expenses which helped him get exempted from taxes since it’s technically a company car.

He had to get it imported since this specific model wasn’t available at the time, which ended up costing more.

He was driving to her grandma’s place with Chizuru sitting in the passenger seat.

“You sure it’s not too early?” He asked her.

“It’s fine. Grandma wanted to celebrate your birthday too. She baked a cake and everything.”

“You should’ve told her not to. She could’ve just bought one.” Kazuya was concerned about her grandma overexerting herself.

“It’s fine. I helped her prepare for most of the stuff yesterday. She just had to bake it and do some final prep.”

“Now, I’m anticipating the cake. My girlfriend made it, especially for me.”

“Don’t get your hopes up too high, I don’t usually bake stuff. That’s why I needed grandma’s help.”

“Anything you make for me is going to be better than some random store-bought item.” He hugged her shoulder as they kept on walking.

*Knock**Knock*

“Kazuya, Chizuru, come on in.” Her grandma greeted both of them and invited them in.

What followed was reminiscent of what they did for Chizuru’s birthday. Her grandma gave them her blessings and everything before they did a little celebration and cut the cake.

“All right grandma. You’ve enjoyed enough, let’s go to the hospital.” Chizuru was insistent.

“Come on, Chizuru. I’m feeling perfectly fine. There’s no need to go to the hospital.”

“Kazuya?” Chizuru looked over to Kazuya for help since she knew that her grandma would instantly listen to him.

“I’m with Chizuru on this one grandma. Your health is important, let’s go.”

“Fine…” She was grumbling since she was ganged up on by both of them.

Kazuya brought her and Chizuru to the car.

“Oh Kazuya-chan, did you buy a new car? Nagomi never mentioned it.”
