Chapter 0014: The Maybe Girlfriend and The Ex (4/4)

“I’ll kill you!” She balled up her fists and threw a punch at him.

He calmly grabbed her fist with an amused smile. She tried to hit him with another of her fists but he grabs that one too.

“Calm down!” He says as he dodges a kick from her.

“This is domestic violence!” His words only seem to rile her up more as she gets even more aggressive.

Finally, she gets tired enough and stops hitting him, or trying to hit him at least.

“You got it out of your system?” He asks Chizuru who’s holding her knees panting.

“Haah… Hah… Yeah.” She was breathing pretty heavily and got up to look at him with a red face.

Suddenly, she collapsed on her spot. Kazuya hurriedly caught her before she hit the ground.

“Chizuru!” He held her by her waist as she almost fell.

‘Okay… I did not think this through. She was sick and I made her so mad. I feel like shit now.’

“Hey… You okay?” She’s still conscious but is too weak to even stand.

“I’m fine… Just let me…” She tries to push him away but isn’t even able to muster the strength to lift her arms.

All she ends up doing is wiggling her body in his embrace.

“If you keep doing this, you might not like the outcome.”

He discretely mentions his little brother that’s getting stimulated due to her wiggling body.

She stiffens up and obediently lets Kazuya hold her.

“Piggyback or princess?” He asks her.

“Hm?” She gives a questioning hum.

“How do you want me to carry you? Piggyback ride or princess carry?”

“No don’t worry about it. Just let me rest for a bit. I’ll be fine.” It’s crystal clear to him that she is not going to be fine.

“Princess it is.” He brings his hands under her knees and picks her up.

He feels her thighs and can’t help but think, ’Soft. More supple than Mami’s. But Mami’s got her unique charm too.’

“Hey, stop it!” She struggles as much as she can.

“I’ll drop you if you keep moving like that.”

“Damn it just let me go. Stop trying to involve yourself with me so much.” She gets all defensive and lashes out at him again.

’She really cannot accept to be seen as even a little weak, can she?’

“I will not be doing that. Your current state is half my fault. And if you forgot, you’re my girlfriend, at least temporarily. Now I’m going to take you to the beach, we’ll grab some juice. And I’ll take you back to the hotel to rest.” He doesn’t give her a chance to respond and starts walking toward the beach.

“Hey! Hey… wait. Not the beach. We can get juice at the hotel too. Just drop me off at the lobby.” She finally gives in but is adamant about not being seen by anyone.

He narrows his eyes at her, “Okay.”

He turns and starts walking in the opposite direction.

Soon Chizuru is asleep in his arms as he gently holds her while walking to the hotel.

Finally, as he reaches the lobby he thinks, ’She doesn’t have her bag. I don’t know her room number either… I’ll just put her to sleep in mine. What’s the worst that could happen?’

He goes up to his room by the lift and fumbles around for his keycard for a few minutes.

’This took much more effort than it should’ve.’ Finally opening the door to his room he walks in with Chizuru in his arms.

After finally tucking Chizuru into bed he texted Kibe.

-Dude. I need you to keep Chizuru’s bag with you. She was feeling pretty sick so I brought her back to my room. Keep the bag with you. I’ll take it later.-

-Chizuru?-

-Fuck’s sake man. Ichinose. She’s the girl that I left with. It should be obvious that I’m talking about her.-

-All right bro. Geez.-

‘Now what do I do with this rude piece of work? Guess I should at least give her something to drink.’

Calling up room service he orders some juice and chocolates.

They deliver his order quickly enough, and he finally accepts it.

“Chizuru honey. I need you to wake up.” He lightly caresses her hair.

He’s already taken off her glasses to put them on the side.

“Five more minutes, grandma.” She mumbles in her sleep.

‘I’d rather be called daddy but whatever.’

“Come on, you can go back to sleep after you drink this.”

She opens her eyes in alarm after realizing that the voice isn’t her grandma’s and instead it’s a man’s voice.

“What the hell are you doing?” She abruptly gets up from the bed and looks accusingly at Kazuya who’s confused as hell.

‘Why is it that the moment she gets any energy she wastes it screaming at me.’

“Lie back down.” Kazuya pushes her face back into the bed. She isn’t able to resist his actions as she’s still pretty weak.

She still keeps looking at him warily.

He shakes his head, “It’s just orange juice. Look. It’s still sealed. I didn’t mix anything to it.”

“…Sorry.” Her apology is as quiet as a mosquito’s buzz.

“What was that?”

“Don’t push it.”

“Fine… You’re no fun. Here drink this.”

She takes the bottle from him and tries to open the cap. Let alone open the sealed bottle, she doesn’t even have the strength to lift the bottle.

He extends his hand to her waiting for her to give him the bottle.

She ignores his help and keeps trying for a while until he takes it back from her himself.

‘How stubborn is this chick?’

He opens the bottle and brings one of his hands to the back of Chizuru’s head, who’s surprisingly quiet this time.

“Here, slowly.”

He gently lifts her head a little and brings the mouth of the bottle to her lips.

She takes light sips as he tries to be as gentle as possible with her.

In about five minutes filled with silent breaks, she finishes the bottle of juice.

“You have a pretty high fever. So I ordered a few cold towels to get your temperature down. You can take a nap if you want.”

“You don’t need to do so much. I can take care of myself.”

“I know, Chizuru. I know that you’re unbelievably strong. But it’s never bad to accept help sometimes. Especially when it’s me. I’m a weird dude when it comes to that kind of stuff. The more you resist me, the more I’m going to push back. So just take whatever I do without too many unnecessary thoughts.”

Chizuru doesn’t reply anymore as she closes her eyes.

Kazuya spends the next half hour taking care of Chizuru who fell back to sleep after 2 minutes of Kazuya putting a cold towel on her head.

That’s when he got a call.

‘Mami, huh… Let’s see what she wants.’ He answers the call after going away from the bed to not disturb Chizuru.

“Hey… Kazu-kun?”

“What’s up, Mami.”

“Are you free to talk right now?”

He glances over at the sleeping Chizuru. ‘She’ll be fine.’

“Kinda, yeah.”

“I’d like to talk to you for a bit… If it’s all right. Can we meet? Like right now?”

“Can you wait for like 5 minutes?”

“Sure Kazu-kun. I’ll wait… I’ll wait for as long as it takes.”

‘Damn this devilish temptress.’

“Where do you want to meet?”

“…The pool. I’m at the hotel pool right now. I’m here by myself. I’m waiting.”

‘Okay, Mami tone down the drama a little. It’s getting creepy.’

“I’ll be there in 5 minutes.”

After he hangs up the call he looks over at Chizuru once again.

‘I’ll leave her a note and some chocolates to eat if she wants to.’

He wrote her a note that said that she was free to order some room service if she wants. It’s kinda his fault that she’s in this state, to begin with. So he agreed that it would be his treat.

‘Might as well make it a lovey-dovey note… Kazuya <3 Chizuru.’ He snickers and leaves the note at the bedside expecting her to throw another tantrum at this.

‘It’s so much fun to rile her up like that.’ He gives her a gentle look and moves away from the bed.

Taking the keycard he lightly closes the door and locks it. Only to be opened from the inside.

He then leaves to go to the pool.
