Chapter 244: Ready for the trip?

--Saturday, June 20, 2172

The next day, Momo sat in the backyard with her friends after training, wearing a calm smile as she gazed into the distance at her beloved Kai hauling massive steel beams alongside Salem in his giant form. Sitting beside Momo, Mina couldn’t help but let out a small sigh as she watched Kai and spoke in a somewhat tired voice.

“You know… Even though I’ve probably gotten stronger with all this training, watching Saito build a mansion right after wiping the floor with all of us doesn’t do much for my self-esteem…”

“I know what you mean… It’s pretty frustrating to see how ‘fragile’ we are compared to him…” Jiro commented while glancing over her shoulder at Kai working behind her. Momo accepted a glass of iced lemonade offered by Rin, the temporary replacement for Mrs. Yoshiko, and replied in a calm voice.

“Don’t take it so hard, girls. None of us could train to the extremes he does. It’s only natural that he’s stronger.”

“…”

Hearing Momo’s words, Mina and Jiro exchanged a silent look, complex expressions on their faces. After all, they could still vividly remember the sound of Kai’s bones cracking over and over as he punched a giant metal cube. Even now, every once in a while, that terrifying cracking sound echoed through the gym during his training, sending chills down their spines.

“…That’s not training anymore… It’s self-torture…” Jiro commented in a heavy tone while accepting her own lemonade. Mina nodded, and after taking a sip of her drink, she added.

“Though I really can’t understand why Saito does that. He’s already so strong; he doesn’t need to hurt himself so much…” Mina turned to look at Momo and asked in a burdened voice.

“Haven’t you ever thought about convincing him to go to therapy? It doesn’t seem normal.”

“Yeah, we talked to him about it a while back, and he agreed to go. It’s just that things have been complicated lately, so he’ll start next month.” Momo replied while watching Kirishima, Kaminari, Midoriya, and even Todoroki approach to help Kai with the construction of Salem’s mansion.

“I hope it helps…” Jiro commented with a small sigh, at which point Mina spoke in a contemplative voice.

“Though, on that note, Saito has changed a lot since we first met him… It’s been a while since he’s used that ‘pressure’ of his to scare people.”

“That’s true… He also seems less intimidating and more at ease. Did something happen?” Jiro asked while looking at Momo, who sighed slightly before replying in a measured tone.

“A few things, but they’re not relevant right now. As I’ve always said, Kai is a great man. It’s just that now you’re starting to see it little by little.”

“…”

Mina and Jiro fell silent as they watched the boys working in the distance, while Tsuyu and Uraraka approached with tired expressions. At that moment, Mina saw Salem send Kaminari flying with a single blow for moving a beam he had placed, which inevitably made her laugh and greatly improved her mood. Feeling much more cheerful, Mina looked at Momo with bright eyes and asked.

“But putting that aside… How’s it going as Saito’s girlfriend?! What have you two been up to? Have you already gotten to second base?!”

“Ara, looks like we arrived at just the right time.”

While Momo blushed deeply, Tsuyu, the frog girl, commented with a playful smile, as Uraraka sat nearby after a small apology. For her part, Jiro, after a quick greeting to Tsuyu and Uraraka, looked at Momo and commented with a ‘wicked’ smile and a teasing tone.

“Looks like they did get to second base… How naughty…”

Momo could only look away, her face completely red, which caused all the girls to widen their eyes in slight surprise, a faint blush appearing on their cheeks. Their friend was becoming an adult before any of them. Though in Mina’s case, perhaps because of her pink skin, no blush could be seen on her face, and she only showed a small smile.

But Jiro, who was observant, noticed how Mina’s eyes subtly drifted toward Kai in the background, making her seem a bit lonely and sad. Though it wasn’t too obvious, Jiro could tell that Mina felt more than just friendship toward Kai. And to be honest, even she felt a few butterflies every time the blue-eyed boy smiled. That face, that body, and that strength were too much for single ladies like them.

But in Mina’s case, it seemed to go beyond just ‘random butterflies.’ Mina genuinely appeared to have deeper feelings that she avoided mentioning out of respect for her friendship with Momo, and she was usually pretty good at hiding them. But it seemed the news of Momo and Kai’s relationship progressing hit the innocent heart of the young woman quite hard.

“Whew, whew, our Yao Momo is climbing the ladder to adulthood!”

In a playful tone, Mina teased while gently poking the embarrassed Momo’s side. Remembering the maturity and boldness of her ‘older sisters,’ Momo let out a small sigh, and with her face still red, she sat up straight and replied in a voice that tried to sound calm.

“I-It’s only natural. We love each other, and we’re going to get married after graduation, so we’re just deepening our relationship.”

Mina’s smile faltered upon hearing Momo’s words, but forcing herself to stay cheerful, she asked with a slightly trembling voice. Though Tsuyu, sitting across from her, couldn’t help but narrow her eyes, noticing the odd behavior of the pink-skinned girl.

“Y-You’re getting married…?”

“Yes, hadn’t I told you already?” Momo looked at Mina and asked back, somewhat puzzled. Mina swallowed audibly, and shortly after, nodded with a slightly awkward smile.

“Y-Yeah, you mentioned something like that before, but that was before you started dating… But now it seems like it’s official.”

“Yes, it’s official. We’ve all agreed, and I’ll be Kai’s official wife.”

Momo replied with a beautiful smile on her face, which somewhat dazzled the girls present, especially Uraraka, who couldn’t help but glance back at a nervous green-haired boy. Meanwhile, Mina quickly shook her head and, with a huge smile, took Momo’s hands and commented in a singsong voice.

“Then I want to be the maid of honor! I’ll be the best maid of honor in the world!”

“Fufu, there are still a few years until then; no need to rush.” Momo replied with a cheerful smile, having completely forgotten her earlier embarrassment. Mina quickly retorted with a small pout.

“I’m reserving my spot now… Or do you have someone else in mind for maid of honor?”

“No, I don’t have anyone for the role of maid of honor. If you want to reserve it, I’ll save it especially for you.” Momo replied with a small smile. Mina gave Momo a big hug and then commented in a joyful voice.

“Thanks, Yao Momo!”

After a small round of jokes and congratulations for the ‘future wedding,’ Mina drank her lemonade in complete silence for a few seconds. But her eyes occasionally landed on Kai’s defined arms, which stood out even more when he carried incredibly heavy things. The sight made Mina squeeze her thighs slightly before looking at Momo and asking with a ‘mischievous’ smile.

“And getting back to the topic… How does ‘second base’ feel?”

“Delicious…”

Momo replied almost instinctively while seductively licking her lips, causing a small shock among the girls present, especially Mina. Seeing her friend’s lustful expression, Mina couldn’t help but glance toward Kai and lick her lips for a moment, but she quickly composed herself and commented with a ‘wicked’ voice.

“Looks like our Yao Momo is a grown-up now, huh? Talking so openly about such ‘hot’ topics, hehehe.”

Momo, reacting to Mina’s words, quickly lowered her head, completely flushed, which made all the girls burst into laughter. This led to an almost endless session of questions from the girls that Momo barely survived, her face so red it looked like she might start bleeding.

…

…

…

At night, near the takeoff runway, the entire family gathered around Kai and Tomoko. Kai wore black pants and a short-sleeved shirt, while Tomoko, clinging to Kai’s arm with a huge smile on her face, wore a simple short dress in a bluish shade.

“When you arrive, the branch manager in the confederation will pick you up. He already has everything ready.” Keiko commented in a serious tone while adjusting the collar of Kai’s shirt. Kai nodded toward the beautiful black-haired mother, at which point Yumiko approached him and spoke seriously.

“Remember to stay alert and avoid eating street food. Security and sanitation aren’t particularly good there.”

“Even though there are heroes there, things are a bit complicated. It’s known that many ‘cartels’ are associated with the government and could cause you trouble, so avoid direct conflict with them.” Nemuri added in a serious tone while arranging Kai’s hair. Chatora chimed in with an equally serious tone.

“The area where the mansion is has private security, so it’s relatively safe, but that also complicates travel with the cards since it’s heavily monitored, so be very careful on your way back.”

“I’ve also heard it’s very common for tourists to get ‘scammed’ in those places, so use the company’s people if you need anything. They know how to navigate those areas.” Momo added seriously. Shino soon followed with a similar tone.

“Don’t forget to stay in touch at all times, or we’ll worry.”

“Also, avoid getting too involved with women there. I hear they’re very ‘fiery’ and love foreigners…” Ryuko added in a low, slightly worried voice. Finally, Nejire commented with a cheerful smile.

“And don’t forget to bring souvenirs!”

“Don’t you think you’re overreacting? It’s just a 10-hour flight. I’ll be back at UA on Monday as usual…” Kai couldn’t help but comment in a somewhat helpless voice, which made the others chuckle lightly. Keiko gave Kai a kiss on the cheek and spoke in a playful tone.

“We’re just worried. It’s the first time you’re traveling so far… What if my Kai gets lost?”

“As if that’s possible.” Kai replied, rolling his eyes, at which point Ryuko looked behind Kai and commented with a small smile.

“Looks like they’re coming for you. Take care, darling.”

After speaking, Ryuko looked at Kai’s lips for a moment, genuinely tempted to give him a quick kiss, but seeing all the eyes around, she restrained herself and simply gave him a small hug. Once everyone had said goodbye, Kai took Tomoko’s hand and walked calmly toward the waiting jet.

…

“Ready for the trip?” Intertwining his fingers with those of his beautiful girlfriend, Kai looked at Tomoko and asked with a smile.

Using her free hand, Tomoko pulled at the neckline of her dress, letting Kai see an incredibly sensual transparent white bra that barely contained her erect pink nipples. Tomoko looked into Kai’s eyes and replied in a soft, seductive voice.

“More than ready~”

“…You’re such a perv.” Kai commented with a ‘hungry’ voice after swallowing hard. Tomoko replied in a soft voice, full of attachment and desire.

“I’m just dying to be your woman…”

“Let’s get in.”

Seeing they had reached the jet’s stairs, Kai commented with a smile while tightly squeezing Tomoko’s hand. The beautiful turquoise-green-haired woman nodded with a slight blush on her cheeks and stepped into the plane alongside her beloved, her heart full of anticipation and expectation.
