Chapter 134

I run up and give my goblin friend a soft hug.

“It’s good to see you Snag, I’ve been doing okay. Oh do you like my new race?” I ask him after pulling back and wagging my tail. He chuckles and says “You are more beautiful than ever.” Snag then looks me up and down asking “Some sort of hellhound variant?” I wiggle and nod, answering “Yup! This body is a Hellbitch now. Oh, do you think we could talk a bit before we have sex? I haven’t seen you in forever.” He scratches his chin and says “We could do that, as soon as we make love, I would be forced to leave. I have to tell you that I can’t say a lot of things about your situation or mine.”

“I guess that’s fine, I understand that secrets can be important. I’m just happy to talk with you again.” I tell him and he gets a big smile. “Then let’s converse for a bit. I have to thank you for putting in a good word for me with your progeny. My days have been much more enjoyable since you showed up.” He probably means my kids right? I’ll have to remember that word for later so I can sound smarter around my family. I tell him “Well they all seem to like you, so I don’t really have to keep telling everyone I see. Your beds are really popular too.” He chuckles and I’m happy to hear it with my stronger ears.

“Oh, you knew I was similar to a hellhound, do you happen to know what the race does? So far I found out that I can smell and hear better, and my body reacts faster.” He nods, but then frowns and answers “I’m not allowed to tell you much of anything it seems, but I can say you should focus on breathing really hard some time.” I think about it and realize something, so I say “I don’t breathe though, so how would I do that?” He shakes his head and responds “You’re talking aren’t you Opal? Just try that, but without saying anything.” That sounds pretty weird, but I try to think about it. He pulls up a chair and sits down, patiently watching me.

Taking so long to figure out whatever he wanted me to is kind of embarrassing, but luckily I still don’t have blood so I don’t blush. That would make me even more embarrassed. This is really hard, but when I look over at Snag he just smiles at me more. I try asking him to explain why I need to do it a few times over the next couple hours, but he says he can’t tell me more. He is my friend, so I should probably trust him. Missing out on experience from this one body should be okay, as long as I figure this out before too much more time has passed.

A few hours later

I still haven’t figured it out, but I think I’m getting close. My pregnant bodies are all giving birth right now, but my hound body isn’t one of them, so I don’t have to leave my time with Snag. As my Lofty body pushes out the first baby, I think I feel something hot inside of me. Not with my large body, but with the one with Snag. I just happened to reflexively push like I do sometimes, and I felt something hot in my chest. When my other bodies start pushing out babies too, I start feeling more and more confident that I’m doing the right thing. “Oh, you seem to have figured something out.” my goblin friend tells me before going quiet again. That makes me even more excited, even if he can’t tell me what I’m doing right, it still confirms what I’m feeling growing in my chest.

To get more into it I lay down on the ground and get into the position I usually use while pushing out babies. Snag gives me a confused look, but then smirks saying “Interesting. You keep surprising me Opal.” I wiggle and start trying to push. I remember what he said in the beginning about talking without saying words. It still seems like strange advice, but when I push I can feel some air coming out of my mouth. Is that what he was talking about? I push again, which normally would be silly since this body isn’t having any babies, but this time I feel the air coming from further into me. Simulating pushing again, I also focus on the air coming out of me and I start to feel really hot. Finally something inside of me feels like it explodes and I think I hear a chime over the roaring sound in my ears.

Suddenly it’s not just my hound body that feels hot, but all of them. The sound in my ears finally goes away, and the burning feeling from all of my bodies slowly dies down. Maybe I just got used to it quickly though, since I can still feel something hot inside of me. It doesn’t burn me, but feels… exciting? I’m not sure how to explain it, but I feel almost bursting with heat and energy. As I’m touching my bodies and making sure I’m not missing any pieces, I hear clapping and look over to see Snag grinning at me happily. He stops clapping and says “Good job my beautiful lover. You should check your screens.” Oh that’s right. I did hear a chime, so I check the screen.

Congratulations!

Hellbitch Innate skill unlocked

Your accomplishment has been recognized.

Titles earned

Oh that’s good too. With all the heat and breathing I was kind of hoping it would tell me I could spit fire at people like the lizards in Pop’s old dungeon. I decide to check it and focus on my new skill and titles.

(New)Fiery:

Your body is fiery and difficult to bind. Effect Increases based on highest tier Class.

(New)(First) Equip Bonus: Receive better rewards for World Quests

You did something before anyone else in a Scenario.

(New)(Innately Gifted) ??? *You don’t have permission to view*

You have five or more Innate skills. ??? *You don’t have permission to view*

The innate skill is vague like the rest I have, and the first title sounds like it will be nice to have at every New Years. The second title is just confusing. Why wouldn’t I have permission to see what my own title does? “Hey Snag, why wouldn’t I have permission to see what my own title does?” I decide to ask him, since he was pretty helpful with the Innate skill, even if he was vague about it. He seems surprised, but then shakes his head and says “I can’t say.” I wait for him to add something that’s hard to understand but I might get later, but he just stands there and shrugs finishing “I really can’t.” I guess it’s one of those secrets of his. It’s rude to be pushy about a friend’s secret, so I decide to say “Thank you.”

I smile and ask “What color lingerie do you have for me this time?” I’m feeling really good for some reason, and it probably has to do with that new skill. He walks over to his dresser and pulls out cream colored lingerie, saying “One of your progeny asked for this color specifically. I hope you don’t mind. I’ll have to make them this color until she returns. She could almost take my full length, so I think she deserves it.” I nod and agree responding “Yeah, it looks great Snag. I’m happy you’re making more friends, and if she almost gets all of you she does deserve her own color.” He looks at me seemingly frozen.

“Do you think we’re friends Opal?” He asks and I answer “Of course we’re friends. Unless you don’t want to be of course, but you’re fun and nice so I hope you are okay being my friend.” I see some tears building in his eyes and wonder if I accidentally said something mean. I hear a chime again and decide to check it.

Are you friends with Snag, the Gentleman Goblin King? Y/N

*Warning: System is monitoring your response to prevent control or coercion. Any instances of such will result in a harsh penalty. Your honest decision is important.*

The screen seems really weird this time, but it’s a pretty easy choice so I focus on Yes and select it.

Suddenly there’s a flash of light and I’m outside the dungeon. I look around in confusion and spot a naked goblin with a huge penis sitting on the ground and crying. I go over to him and ask “Hey Snag, are you okay? Why are you suddenly outside the dungeon?” He looks up at me and smiles, but keeps crying, so I bend over and pick him up and into a hug. I feel him sobbing against my chest and decide to pat his head. “Hey guys, a goblin got out somehow. You, hound, put it down so we can kill it.” I hear from behind me and look back seeing a group of 4 elves. I growl at them since what they said makes me angry and say “Snag is my friend, if you try to hurt him I’ll punch you.”

One of them steps forward and says “It’s a goblin, and it’s dangerous. You must be young and not know, so just hand it over and we’ll deal with it.” I growl at them again, but I’m worried they might hurt Snag, so I turn and jump up the stairs, quickly running out of the building. I hear yelling from behind me, but they’re too slow and I quickly lose them. I tell Sapphire and Cindy that I’m coming home with Snag in my arms, and they give me weird looks. So I explain what happened to them and they seem shocked. “The rare dungeon boss Snag right? Why would you being friends with him kick him out of the dungeon? Does the system believe in the power of friendship?” Cindy asks, but I shrug at her with my Lofty body and move one of the babies that hasn’t eaten yet to a free nipple.

When I finally make it home with Snag, he’s still crying and Sapphire asks “Why is he crying, were you mean to him mom?” I shake my head and tell her “No, he was crying when we showed up outside the dungeon.” I then pat my green little friend’s head and ask him “Are you okay? Did I do something wrong by saying I’m your friend?” I’m a little worried because it’s probably my fault he got kicked out of the dungeon. I feel him stiffen and hear him stop crying, so I put him down.

He wipes his eyes with his hands and then stands up straighter. Snag then looks up at me and smiles, saying “Thank you Opal for being my friend. These aren’t sad tears, but happy ones instead. Many memories about my time in the dungeon are blurry or gone, but I can tell you that I didn’t want to be there.” Sapphire picks him up and hugs him next, and I wonder something and ask “If me being your friend could get you out, then why didn’t you just ask me? You were already my friend before.”

He responds from my daughter’s arms “I was prevented from saying or asking very specific things by the system. I can’t remember anything that the system would have prevented me from saying before, but it is worth it to be free again. At least that’s how I feel about it. I’m sorry that I won’t be a lot of help to you in that regard.” Sapphire squeezes him once more and then puts him down saying “Well we don’t need you to tell us things you can’t remember anyway. Why is your title just goblin now?” She’s right, I didn’t even think to look at it, but above his head is -Goblin- Lvl 1.

Snag answers “Much was taken from me, but I believe I can build back up like any other Player would.” Cindy then asks “I thought you were a monster though? Are you saying you’re a Player now?” He nods and says “Yes, but I can’t seem to remember why I would or wouldn’t be one. I apologize again for my gaps in memory.” He looks around at my Lofty body and all of the gnome babies crawling around before saying “You seem to have quite the busy home Opal, do you happen to know where I can find lodging where they won’t attack me on sight? I’m feeling a bit tired and might need to lay down. I’m not used to having to sleep.”

I shake my head and tell him “You can just use a bed in one of the extra rooms until you get strong enough to not accidentally get squished by someone.” Sapphire and Cindy seem to agree too. The way the elves at the dungeon entrance reacted when they saw him makes me worry about letting him go out alone. We also have lots of room here, so he might as well stay since it’s safe. He starts to say something, but then stops and says “I’ll be in your care for now then, my friend.” I wiggle since it’s always nice to have friends, and now I don’t have to get lucky in the dungeon to see Snag. He also helped me get another skill and some titles, so not helping him back would be rude.

I show him to a room with a bed. It’s pretty empty since we all usually just sleep in one bed in one of the rooms. I give him another hug before he lies down and tell him “I’d sleep snuggle with you, but I’m in a hurry to reach the next tier with one of my classes before the attack tomorrow. I hope you don’t mind.” He pauses pulling the blankets over himself and asks “You’d be willing to just lay on a bed and sleep with me?” I nod and answer “Of course, we’re friends remember?” He wipes his eyes again and pulls the blanket over his head. I hear him say from beneath it “Thank you… friend.” I smile to myself and start to leave the room saying “Sleep well Snag, and let us know if you’re hungry when you get up.”

I close the door and make my way back to the dungeon with a big smile on my face. Sapphire agreed to stay and take care of the babies and our goblin friend so I can go and get more experience before tomorrow. She’s better at making bacon if he wakes up hungry anyways.
