Chapter 83: Flora’s Dilemma
Flora was in a bit of a dilemma. Too many things were happening at once for her to feel comfortable with any of it.
Simon was having what the staff at Planar University liked to call a 'clash of ideals'. His idea of right and wrong was misaligned with what the people at the university and the rest of the continent at large thought.
She did not think anyone had realized just how naive and out of touch Simon really was. Granted he had been in the university for less than a week and if it were not for the talk she had with the mysterious voice her thoughts would have been the same as well.
Thankfully she understood the context clues and she believed Simon was probably raised in some sort of isolated cell. He was probably 'created' and raised to fulfill some sort of role.
She did not think it was something as grand as being a [Great Hero] because one of the requirements was playing a pivotal part in an apocalyptic threat. If there was even a hint of something of that caliber happening there would at least be whispers.
But someone powerful somewhere wanted this child to succeed. And that someone thought giving said child the might of a [World Tree] would be helpful. This grated on Flora's more primal instincts, she was near the pinnacle of the world despite her currently pitiful state. For someone to use her as an easy puzzle piece was not something she agreed with.
At the same time, the chance of her ever getting a tamer was next to none.
To give an idea of how absurd it was to tame her. An average tamer needed six tier 5 bonds including the first bond power up to actually be able to start bonding with her. However, that number was a lie, because for the average tamer maintaining six bonds meant they were always low on disposable essence leaving no room for a freaking legendary monster who had twenty times the normal maintenance cost to keep her fed. That was why legendary monsters were always bonded when they were tier 5, any higher and it was not feasible for the average tamer. The blessed could bond tier 6 legendary monster girls because of their special constitution but even for them tier 7 legendary monster was too much of a resource sink.
So that only left her with the ascended or the [hero] class. Even the mention of the [hero] class made her shiver in fright and suppressed trauma.
Finally the ascended, in the last twelve years, she only knew of two confirmed ascended. One was in the royal palace, being used as a breeding horse by the women who wished to stay in power through their children, and the other was the confused and lost boy that was currently wrapped in her arms. There may be more out there but the chance of her meeting one like this was all but zero.
Not to mention, the voice had promised her a miracle bond. So if she took that disembodied entity at face value, she would get what monster girls of her power could only dream of getting, a complete bond.
That was, however, what her monster girl was feeling.
The side of her that was a teacher did not want to do it.
The reason was simple, Simon simply did not have all the information necessary to make a sound decision.
And while she was sure he would always treat her right. The dilemma in front of her being proof of how much he cared about his bonds, all her years guiding young minds into proper Tamers would be for naught if she used the most promising of them all for her ends.
There were even many excuses she could use to justify it as well. Like how he needed a guardian and if she was on his side, she could be that guardian. She could help him navigate till he found his footing and be an advisor when he became competent.
And, despite what the voice said she knew there were loopholes in there she could use to bring him out of the claws of whoever had him in their clutches.
Flora had an idea of something that could absolve her of her guilt. It was selfish and wrong but enough of an excuse for her to justify herself.
That was telling him everything(outside of the interaction with the voice which, in her opinion, was too risky given how mighty it seemed).
She looked down at the distressed boy knowing full well what his answer would be in his current vulnerable state...
But she was straining her reasoning as it was and the feeding was going to happen either way. A germinating plant girl was close enough to a feral monster girl that the distinction did not matter all that much. It was a testament to her self-control that she was not already riding him like a wild buck.
all she could do was give him the option and hope it was enough for both of them.
"Simon."
She said quietly.
"Yes."
He mumbled in her chest.
Despite how quiet he was the sound reverberated across her form and she realized just how randy she was. She took a deep calming breath as she started to give out her long and well-crafted statement.
"I have a confession to make. You see I have a reason I have been trying to approach you..."
She could not complete her sentence as Simon said.
"You want to bond me right?"
He was now looking up at her, his eyes still showing a lot of distress but a hint of playfulness as well. There was this knowing glint in his eye that only exacerbated her sexual arousal.
It was getting harder to resist now, and she glanced around and sighed in relief as she noticed that there were no students around anymore. All of them had left given the time of day.
Why?
Her vines were slowly trying to wrap them in a cocoon and in their position it mental only one thing, vaginal sex. The scary part was that she was doing all this unconsciously.
She desperately tried to get her point across.
"No! You don't understand..."
Again she was stopped by another witty response from the boy who mere moments ago looked like the world was falling all around him.
"You think you have nefarious reasons... Maybe you do. But from what I could gather every monster girl wants the best for their Tamer, so I am not afraid."
That was the last straw...
