Chapter 15: School Building
Simon was doing a walk of shame. Except this time it was outside his house. Somehow, he managed to get into trouble minutes after leaving his home. Soft mom would have been proud.
Amy was also there hopping around, rubbing her soft fluffy self all over him and generally being a very cute puppy. She was also completely oblivious that she was at least half responsible for his predicament. But being angry at her was next to impossible. He now understood why in almost every story he read, dog girls were portrayed as loyal loveable companions that usually formed the backbone of the harem. They were almost never the lead or the 'alpha' monster girl, they were too subservient for that, but they were usually the most beloved. From text, he was told that the only reason they numbered behind cow girls or cat girls as starter friendly monsters was because they were designed to work in a pack with multiple abilities that only worked with other dogs/wolves, something that was the antithesis of a diverse team that was generally regarded as the best way to make a team.
She noticed his thoughtful stare and playfully yipped at him demanding attention, it only made him smile and start petting her head.
Cow aunt gave a bemused *moo* from the front. This little action had slowed them down and right now she was taking no bullshit from him. He hastened his pace, eager not anger the massive minotaur anymore than he already had. He was invested in that fact that he could even take properly take in any of the scenery around him as he briskly kept pace with his cow aunt as they jogged to school. All he could say was that they looked similar to his home but that was as much as he got. None of the details got caught.
There was one building, however, that was markedly from all the rest. It was huge, so big that he had seen it all the way from his house which was at least a twenty minute jog away. Unlike the rest of the houses which whizzed by at their brisk pace this thing was so unique and imposing that his mind had no choice but to focus on the details.
The architecture was a massive shift from the rest of the houses. It looked like a massive castle right of fantasy with it's imposing stone works and dark colors. Instead of wood the walls were made from what he assumed was solid stone, In his own home there was not a singular stone piece of anything so he had not direct information to draw from. But it matched the description of stones he had read about and since he had not better option he was going with it. There were spiraling towers littered across the structure all ending in sharp points that really caught his attention. Unlike his home which was massive box, this one was like a mash up of every shaped imaginable which only added to it's mystique
As they rapidly approached more and more features became clear to his vision and he was amazed to find that most of it was first times for him, at least in real life. There were statues depicting numerous monsters, monster girls, men and especially women which were largest and most decorative. At least Simon believed the statues to be women. They had not 'extra' features of monster girls. They looked like him but with tits, a curvy form and softer facial features all things that were identified as women, the mythical and powerful beings that they were. There also tall pillars tipped with a diamond shaped crystal he believed was over artificial light, windows that were as wider and taller than his house, a house made completely of glass and the list went on and on. Everywhere he looked there was something new to discover.
The grounds was not empty either as bodies seemed to move constantly going out one massive ornate door and in another. There was a mix of men and monster girls with the numbers heavily favoring the monster girls. His guess was from a brief survey was that for every man there was at least twenty monster girls and he was probably being conservative. There maybe even one or two women in the mix but he was not sure. He had always read that women were always a part of some noble lineage and did not often mingle with the common folk, he still could not grasp what that statement really meant but he thought it meant they had some sort of noble standards, like how he thought that vegetables were beneath him even if he was forced to eat them any way. Having said that, if what he was seeing was not a noble standard he could not imagine what was.
Simon desperately wanted to ask that the 'school' they were going to was that intimidating structure. But cow aunt was in no mood to talk so that was out. But given that they were heading right for it with no other notable establishments in sight he believed that was where he was going to end up.
Schools were a myth to Simon before this point, and he had thought the stories had exaggerated schools and their majesty. If that was indeed the place they were going to, he believed that fact was much greater than fiction.
A slew of questions appeared in his mind, most stemming from the fact that he had not done any research on 'schools' and how they functioned. He had never thought he would ever go to school and so he let the the problem languish.
Now he was mentally kicking himself as he realized he had no idea what was going to happen to him, this humbling visage of something so great had just brought it to the forefront.
He was going from no contact to whatever that was, and he felt they skipped a few steps in between to get him ready for this. He wanted to complain to his dad but the man was absent right now, leaving him to this scary fate.
