3.27: Reassurance (🌶🌶)
“Wake up, sleepyhead.”
I woke up with a jolt.
“Hwuh?”
“It’s dinner time,” Aprilia said, hovering over me.
“Dinner? What time is it?”
I looked towards the shutters. The curtains glowed with the yellow light of evening.
“A lot closer to evening than noon. You slept for hours.”
“Great,” I groaned, pushing myself upright.
“How are you feeling?”
“Fine.”
“You could’ve just slept at night.” She tilted her head. “Now, will you please stop pushing yourself so hard?”
I tried my best to not look away.
“I’ll try.”
Silver-gray eyes lowered in disappointment.
“That’s all I can promise,” I said truthfully.
If I failed to build the weapons in time, all might be lost.
I stretched until my back cracked. Blood began circulating through my stiff body, making something else hard.
My eyes found the door.
Closed.
She raised a sculpted eyebrow at my smile.
I narrowed my eyes at her. “You disobeyed a direct order from your Supreme Leader,” I said slowly. “Bad girls must be punished.”
Before she could say anything, I caught her by the arm and pulled her onto my lap.
“I have something hard that I want to push somewhere.”
Equally hard, though unamused eyes bore into mine.
I guess she is more pissed than I thought.
She tried to get up, but I had an arm wrapped around her torso.
“You’re distracting me,” she said, her voice low and dangerous.
“I need you,” I said, shifting my hips to press my genuine need against her.
She tried to get up, more forcefully this time.
“Let me go!”
“At least listen first—”
“No!”
The glare she sent my way was somehow more powerful than the divine blessing, as my arm uncurled on its own.
She jumped away from me as if burned.
“I’m sorry,” I said, “but I just need to finish the weapons design and the ecosystem behind the manufacturing. Then I’ll relax. I want to relax.”
“You’re going to ruin your health, Jack.”
Her voice was soft.
Yet somehow it felt like a whip.
“I promise you, I won’t.”
“Are you indestructible as well as all-knowing now, Messiah?”
“No.”
She wrung her hands, then fixed those smoldering eyes on me again.
“You constantly keep harping that our government needs to run without you. You were preparing Chadom to do that even before you left for Nahnon months ago! Then why do you keep trying to do everything yourself when it comes to engineering?”
“That’s not true. Kovar and Aramid made the centrifugal caster and the barrels.”
“Only because you weren’t here! If you had been, I know you would have worked yourself half-dead, just like them!”
“I don’t see you scolding them.”
“They were following the orders of our dear Supreme Leader, and I’m not trying to bear their child, but his!” She threw up her hands. “Now stop dodging my question. Why are you trying to do everything yourself?”
“Because it’s dangerous! Most of the time, even I don’t know exactly what I’m doing. I know the principles and I have some idea about how to turn them into real weapons, but it’s not enough. Not even remotely.” I dragged my hand through my hair. “I’m messing around with things where one tiny mistake can kill you, and I’m the best person for the job. I am the one most likely to notice something is wrong and get out of the way in time.”
“Like that explosion in the workshop?”
I flinched.
Her eyes lowered immediately. It was a cheap shot and she knew it.
For a moment, none of us spoke.
Then she looked back at me.
“If someone else had been working with you,” she asked softly, “could they have not caught the mistake that blew up that wall?”
“I suppose. Maybe. But if anyone had been in that room, they’d be dead.”
She sighed, then sat back on my lap, her slender hands settling on my shoulders.
My arms came around her waist by themselves.
She was so much smaller than me, so much lighter, yet somehow I felt like a child in trouble.
“Remember you were telling us about the ecosystem behind the new weapons?” she asked gently.
Her teacher voice.
“Yes.”
“How every component in the system must work properly?”
“Yes.”
“Well, you are the most important component of this whole system,” her fingers tightened around my shoulders, “and yet you don’t take care of yourself.”
“I do.”
“No, you don’t.”
Her face wilted, driving a spike of pain through my heart.
Tear-filled eyes looked up at me.
“I love you, Jack, and I—I don’t want someone coming to me one morning to tell me that you died in some stupid accident.” Her voice trembled. “What if I’m already pregnant? You’d leave us behind to fend for ourselves.”
My throat tightened.
“Please,” she whispered. “Delegate some of your work. Let other people shoulder your burdens.”
I looked away.
“They’re not ready.”
“When will they be?”
“After…”
“After when?”
“I don’t know!” I snapped.
She recoiled back.
I lowered my voice.
“Not only is the work dangerous, it has to be finished in time. None of it will matter if the weapons aren’t ready when needed. Establishing the manufacturing system is only the first step. After that, we have to produce the weapons and ammo and then train the soldiers. It could take months, if not years. What if Vozoran comes knocking before that?”
“You are doing your best,” she said patiently. “That’s all anyone can do.”
I shook my head.
“It’s not enough.”
“Listen to me,” she said, cupping my face and forcing me to meet her eyes. “You are doing enough.”
I wanted to believe her. But I didn’t.
She studied me for some time.
“Will you delegate some of your work?”
“I brought Rowan, Ansel and Harald for that reason, but it will take time.”
“The Ducklings have been with you for much longer.”
“They’re young. I don’t want them involved with weapons.”
“You think they will be spared if we are conquered?”
She sighed, shifting her weight.
“Even by your standards, they are only two years away from adulthood. Fennar will be seventeen next month.”
Her eyes practically begged.
“Fine.”
“Good,” she said, kissing me lightly, yet her eyes didn’t leave mine.
“I will, but under supervision at first.”
“That’s reasonable,” she said, leaning into me.
For some time, neither of us spoke. She remained on my lap, while my eyes found the curtains, the glow of evening growing more golden.
The rhythmic noise of hammers rang outside. People building the city around us.
“The rest of us are not that useless,” she remarked.
“I know. It’s just—”
She put a finger on my lips.
“Why don’t we postpone all that for tomorrow?”
“Sure.”
Her hands dug into my shoulders for purchase as her hips began swaying, her round, ample ass moving against my lap in slow, deliberate circles, its soft flesh molding itself around me.
“Now, what did you have for me?” she whispered.
I was too dejected to respond.
Her eyebrows shot up at the lack of any reaction, verbal and physical.
She got up and yanked the sheet away with one powerful jerk.
Before I could say anything, she bent down to undo my trousers, then pulled them down.
I shivered as cold air greeted my loins.
She got on the bed, then lay down, setting herself between my legs.
As a slender hand held my limp length up, she looked up at me through her thick lashes, then slowly lowered her face into my crotch.
Her full lips brushed against my dick, warm and soft.
My blood finally remembered where to go.
She kissed it gently, then stuck her tongue out, dragging it from the bottom of the underside to the top.
I couldn’t help but moan, my toes curling, as nerves lit up throughout my body.
Eyes glittering at the reaction, she closed her rosebud lips over my rising hardness
Heat engulfed my length, as she began slathering it in her saliva.
Her cheeks hollowed out as she sucked on it hungrily. She bobbed up and down on my length, making me throb. Her tongue moved around the sensitive head, lighting up every nerve.
Soon it was as hard as iron.
Only then did she slowly pull away, with a soft pop.
Her breathing was heavy and tears glistened in the corners of her eyes, but they twinkled with triumph.
As she tried to remove my trousers, I started to rise.
“Stay,” she commanded.
I froze, then obeyed.
After pulling them off me, she stood up and unceremoniously slipped out of her own dress.
An involuntary sigh left me as her beautiful body revealed itself, the dim golden glow of evening dancing on it, highlighting the gentle swell of her breasts, the inward curve of her waist and the flare of her wide hips.
I realized with great regret that I had been too tired the last few days to even properly admire her.
Her mouth curved.
She approached me slowly, my eyes glued to the sway of her hips. She climbed the bed and swung a leg across to straddle me.
As she settled on my lap, my lips curved in an involuntary smile.
I could never get bored of the feeling of those thick, silken thighs against mine. Her warmth and the reassuring weight of her.
My arms slipped around her waist, as I leaned in to plant a kiss on her rosebud lips.
As she kissed me back, her fingers tangled themselves in my hair.
Then pulled my head back.
My eyes flew open.
That’s… new.
Sadly, it did nothing for me.
I… I was too much of a control freak to enjoy giving it up.
“You are doing your best,” she said softly, her lips hovering inches from mine. “Better than what anyone can expect. Do you hear me?”
“I do.”
My hands slipped down her narrow back and spread across her generous ass.
“I don’t think you do. I think I’ll have to show you.”
She lunged at me.
Her soft lips crashed against mine.
They engulfed them, sucked on them and bit them, while my fingers sank into the yielding soft flesh of her lower cheeks.
She pressed her body against mine, until we were practically one body. Her breasts crushed against my chest, while my hardness rubbed against her belly.
As our tongues danced with each other, her hips began rocking.
In short, impatient jerks at first.
Then longer, violent thrusts.
I couldn’t wait any longer.
As we separated, breathless, I looked into her eyes.
“I have a test to conduct.”
Her eyebrows rose in disbelief. “Now?”
“Oh yes,” I whispered conspiratorially. “You see, the demonstration this morning gave me a scare. I want to make sure that my cartridge isn’t malfunctioning like that brass one.”
Her lips quirked upwards as she understood my meaning.
“May I use your barrel?”
She snorted.
“Anytime.”
As I lifted her up, her hand quickly shot down to guide my cartridge.
She hissed as I slowly lowered her on my tool, her well-lubricated barrel stretching around it.
A gasp escaped both of us as we fit together perfectly.
My mouth latched onto her breast as I began rocking my hips.
Her head fell back in a strangled cry.
As I began bouncing her on top of my tool, she pressed my face into her chest, her legs wrapping around my waist. My thoughts about academic rigor went out the window the moment I bottomed out inside her. I reached her lips for connection, and she met me with equal need. As we kissed passionately, my hips kept moving up, pushing me as deep insider as possible.
I tried to lower her onto the bed, with me on top.
She put a hand on my chest.
“No. Let me.”
I let her push me down until I lay flat on the bed.
She adjusted herself around me, hands on my chest, then her hips began to gyrate in slow, sensual rhythm.
She bent down to kiss me lightly.
“Do you like it when you’re not in control?” she whispered between heavy breaths.
“It’s…”
Her hips rolled again, making me throb inside her.
“…fine.”
She made a grunt of annoyance, then pushed herself back up and went back to gyrating on top of me.
She rose and fell on my tool with increasing tempo, her cries growing sharper each time our bodies met.
The bedframe creaked in rhythm with the sounds of her pleasure and my ragged breaths.
My eyes moved in time with her magnificent body, tracking every bounce of her modest but firm breasts.
My hands remained on her hips. Just holding; not guiding.
As my body tightened with anticipation, my hips began to buck upwards in rhythm with her.
She bent down, her breath tickling my ear.
“Let go,” she whispered. “Let go of everything you’re holding. Inside me.”
My fingers dug into her as I thrust harder.
Then, my length pulsed with release, filling her insides.
She cried out, louder than ever, as her own release followed. Her walls clenched and unclenched around me, as she fell on top of me, reduced to a mess of whimpers, her thighs shaking uncontrollably around mine.
For some time, neither of us moved.
The room went silent, save for our ragged breathing. Rain kept battering the walls outside.
I kept my arms wrapped tightly around her, her comforting weight more reassuring than any words could ever be.
“I love you,” I whispered softly into her ear.
She lifted her head.
Her damp hair framed her face, silver-gray eyes inches away. She touched her forehead to mine.
“I love you too.”
She tilted her head and kissed me.
