Chapter 1 – New Beginning
West Blue, south of Ohara Island.
A small caravel was quietly drifting in the sea.
The small caravel was very different from other caravels.
The hull was white like marble while the ship’s railings were coated in gold, it had only a mainmast and mizzenmast with white sails.
Adding the finishing touch was the figurehead under the bow which was a beautiful golden mermaid with wavy flowing hair, its hands brought together in front of her mouth with her fingers intertwined as if in prayer.
The only thing that gave the elegant ship a more dangerous presence were the four cannons, two on each side, and the black flag, clearly indicating that this was a pirate ship.
On the ship’s quarterdeck, a man of around 20 years of age and a height of 180cm was sprawled on the wooden floor, unmoving like a dead man, he had a lean, muscular physique, with shoulder length white hair, his eyebrows and eyelashes were the same color as his hair.
He was wearing a white long captain’s coat with golden margins over a gray shirt, gray colored pants and black boots, the last notable garment was a golden sash around his waist.
------
Alexander opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was a blue sky with sparse white clouds, he could feel a calm breeze blowing his hair bringing the smell of the salted sea.
“Where is this?”.
That was the first thing that came to his mind after he regained his senses.
He had no better reaction for this situation he found himself in, he wasn’t able to react better to this situation, after all he awakened with no idea of how he got where he was, and worse, having no idea who he was made him start hyperventilating.
Taking a few deep breaths, he had to keep himself from surrendering to panic, after a few minutes he was able to calm and decided to recollect his thoughts.
“I should first calm myself and start searching my memory for anything useful...”
He had to start from somewhere, in this situation the best course of action was to try and recall what he could, closing his eyes he started to search his memory, it took longer than it should have but after some time small bits of information surfaced in his mind.
His name is Alexander, he can’t remember his last name, he seems to remember watching his favorite anime One Piece, when a sudden wave of drowsiness hit him and then he was swimming in a sea of ink, the taste was of blood was permeating his mouth making him wanting to puke but he wasn’t able to, at a certain time his sense of self started to become dimmer and dimmer.
“Yes, then there was the deal.”
It wasn’t a memory, but he was aware of a deal.
The deal was simple, everything that made him, himself, was given in exchange of something, all that constituted his person had to be exchanged, leaving only a blank slate for a new beginning.
Trying to remember more, he discovered that he could not remember his appearance nor his personality, nothing about family and friends or more detailed information about himself, including where he lived, neighbors and girlfriends, he can remember common knowledge like who was the president of America or what year it was but nothing about himself.
He had to come to terms with the fact that the person he was before may as well have been a stranger, a dead stranger.
Coming to terms with the fact that there were no other memories to recall even if he stayed there all day,
trying to remember, he decided to observe his surroundings as that was a good way to find some clues.
Standing up, he was surprised to find himself on a ship, a beautiful ship.
He could see the golden rails and the polished wooden floor, the ship looked as if it just left the shipyard.
“Hello!”
Shouting to find if there was someone else beside himself on the ship, that could provide some explanations, he was not surprised when he heard no response.
With nothing else to do he started exploring the ship, he was surprised to find out the level of its luxury and the detail that was put into its construction.
The ship was well equipped and furnished with luxury items, electric stove, washing machine, dish washer and many other such equipment and furniture.
On the walls, there were paintings and ornaments fit for a noble’s mansion, not for a small ship like this one.
The kitchen was fully equipped with electric equipment and stocked with food, even for modern standards it was above what a normal ship should have.
The sleeping quarters were furnished with two beds, one on the left and one on the right, it also had two desks and electric lights plus two dressers.
Besides that, the storeroom was fully stocked with food enough for two people to eat for three months, at the back of the storeroom was a small refrigerated area for frozen foods.
Moving away from the storeroom he found the bathroom, it was very clean, and it had a bathtub equipped with shower, a large mirror was placed above the sink, every metal part was golden in color.
Seeing the mirror in the bathroom he had some expectations, looking in the mirror he saw a stranger’s face, the face that looked back at him was unfamiliar to him.
White hair and silver eyes, those were not normal characteristics of a person, maybe if he was albino but that was clearly not the case at least with the little he knew about the other world, his eyes were sharp, his face wasn’t rough but had gentle features.
Moving on from the bathroom he resumed his exploration, Alexander was surprised to find a living room furnished with elegant furniture and artistic ornaments such as paintings and flower vases, there was a dining table in the centre large enough for four people.
At this point the ship looked more like a house than a ship, at least life on such a ship couldn’t be called bad in any way.
The last stop was the captain’s cabin where the furniture was even more elegant, there was a beautiful wooden desk facing the door and there was even a grey sofa to the right side, on the left side was a large window.
Something on the desk instantly attracted his attention. It was the captain’s logbook, a beautiful book with a white cover, a white ribbon marker expanded from its middle and a golden lock was placed in the middle of the cover.
Without knowing why, when seeing that lock, he had the instinct to move his hand to his pocket, moving his hand to his pocked he found a golden key.
Sitting on the soft chair behind the desk, he inserted the key into the lock, and after a short pause he slowly turned it.
*click* With a metallic sound, the lock was unlocked.
With his hand he slowly turned the cover, displaying the first page.
[Captain’s Alexander Logbook.]
Was written in cursive.
Alexander was surprised to find his name on the first page and wondered what that Captain title meant for him.
Searching for answers, he turned another page.

“What is this? An RPG?”
That was the first thought that came to his mind. He remembers that RPGs had a stats management system like this, and then a sudden though hit him like a lightning bolt.
He remembered reading many web novels where the protagonist was reincarnated or transported to another world, it shouldn’t be possible he though, his heart beating fast, but then he thought.
“Waking up with fragmented memories on a ship with a black flag, and the last thing I remember is watching One Piece and lastly there is a [Devil Fruit] category on this page which indicates a connection with One Piece…”
Even after considering all those facts, it was still hard to believe in something like that, after all the first thing humans do when they meet with the extraordinary is the deny it and search for a logical answer, even if that person has imagined such scenarios but when put in front of them they still chose to first deny it.
But he still had to consider what was put in front of his eyes, he could deny it all day, but nothing will change.
Did he really become a member of the legendary Transported with a System Sect? His heart rate was increasing, he could feel that he had no good feeling from his previous life, he didn’t know why but the feeling of dislike was there, there were no good feelings when he thought about his world, but could something like that really happen in this world?
It took a long time for him to calm down, thinking that he could not yet confirm his wild guess, he chose to continue examining the book.
It seems that he has 5 points he can allocate to his stats at will, but why where his stats so low? Was 1 the standard level of an adult person? As for the ‘None’ under Devil Fruit and Haki, it was nothing strange.
Focusing on the “?” besides his skill, new text appeared.
Info
Fast Learner: Gives the user the ability to learn 3x times faster than his actual learning speed.
That, wasn’t that a cheat-like ability? If that was right then one year of training will be the same as three years of training, well, that wasn’t true for pure physical training, but even so that was a small setback not worth mentioning. This ability was a cheat.
Focusing on the next item he found something strange.
“Shop, sure enough it is everywhere.”
Seeing the last word that looked like a button on the page he couldn’t help but whisper.
It was hard to be surprised by this, at this point he even expected something like this to appear.
He tried to press on it with his finger like on a tablet, but it didn’t work, then remembering the novels he read before he tried to mentally click on it.
Confirming his hypothesis, after several tries, the ink disappeared as if absorbed by the paper, and then other words appeared.
It was a list of Devil Fruits and strange items.

Devil Fruit acquisition guide
A devil fruit can only be purchased under one of the following conditions.
1. The fruit is not in use by another person
2. The fruit’s owner was defeated in combat by the user.
The user can’t have more than one devil fruit at a time.
Under the condition that the previous owner was killed by the user, a discount of 30% will be added!
Black lines formed on his forehead, wasn’t this like an online store?
“Hmm?”
There was something else that attracted his attention at the bottom of the page.
Starter Gift
As a starting boost the user was given the ability to choose one Devil Fruit from the ones in the user’s memory. Please note that if the Devil Fruit the user has chosen is already in use by someone else then the Devil Fruit will be forcibly removed from the current owner.
One-time service only.
It seems that he will receive a generous gift!
Suppressing the joy and expectations in his heart, he focused on the text and a list with Devil Fruits was displayed, sure enough only the ones he knew were listed, but that wasn’t a problem, he already knew in his heart what fruit to choose.
Without feeling sorry, Alexander selected a devil fruit
Congratulations!
You received the Rumble-Rumble Fruit!
“Yes!”
Alexander was very excited, the lightning fruit was the best in his eyes as the possibilities were limitless, using the knowledge from his previous world this fruit will become the strongest.
With a flash of light, a fruit appeared in front of his eyes, floating in the air.
Now he could confirm it, a sense of joy and euphoria filled his heart.
“This really is the world of One Piece!!!”
Alexander shouted in joy, if he didn’t believe it before then he had no other choice but to believe now.
Extending his arms, he took it with trembling hands.
It was very different than in the anime as in the anime it was drawn, but here in his hands was the real deal.
He put it aside for now and wanted to turn the page but then he saw a tab that he overlooked before.
That was the special tab.

Shinigami awakening

Could it be?!
Is it the Shinigami form from Bleach? But the Shinigami has no physical form so how could it work in this world? Could it be that he will become a Shinigami with a real body?
He had to buy it, but for now he had no G.
After so many surprises he was a bit expectant of the next page.
Turning the page, it was something he did not expect.

Crew
Alexander was too tired to get surprised anymore, it seems that he could upgrade the ship and even its type would change with time!
There is even a [Crew] Tab where he could give privileges and assign roles to crew members, with certain privileges they could go in restricted areas of the ship or he could even ban them from entering the ship.
The question now was, where can he get G? And what is a G? Is it gold?
Never mind that he is drifting on the sea, he doesn’t even know where he is, what if he is found by pirates or even worse, marines? This ship had a pirate flag so his fate will be bad, but first he had to confirm once more that this was really the world of One Piece, the simplest way to do that was to eat the devil fruit on the table.
With trembling hands, he took the fruit and, after gathering some courage, he bit into it.
It tasted bad.
