Is it that easy?!
With my decision made to take matters into my own hands, I decided to make use of the original—almost useless—knowledge from the novel (something that, for once, proved immensely helpful). With it, I chose to lean into Susie's mental vulnerability to make her dependent on me... though I admit that sounded pretty bad.
But before you look at me with disapproval! Let me tell you I'm doing this in good faith.
I mean, at least unlike the guy with ulterior motives who was going to do the exact same thing in the original timeline Susie was supposed to follow... What I mean is... That person, taking advantage of Susie's apathetic state—being practically an empty shell, with no friends, family, or emotional support in her already ruined life—comforted her and managed to cheer her up.
Pretty good up to that point, right?
Later on, they had a daughter and became a couple.
So far, everything sounds like a fairytale, doesn't it?
"But this is not such a gentle world!"
Oh, surprise!
The man turned out to be a die-hard fan of the adult actress "Cherry." Upon discovering that, despite her stunning physical appearance, she was mentally just a child, he abandoned her to her fate without mercy.
What happened next?
Well, sometime later, Susie's daughter was possessed by the very same man who had started all her suffering, like a cruel twist of fate patiently waiting to deliver the punchline. Intending to kill the mother using the young girl's body, the man exposed himself, revealing the whole twisted truth.
However, confessing the truth thinking that Susie couldn't fight back in her current state was his biggest mistake!
You see, it turns out that when someone has nothing left to lose, they become extremely terrifying because there is nothing holding them back...
By then, Susie's mind was already completely shattered. After learning how her entire life had been manipulated and destroyed, she lost her mind entirely. In the middle of her breakdown, she killed her own possessed daughter and immediately went after the man in question. Poetically using the very same possession drug she obtained during her search, she ended the life of the mastermind behind her torment.
Yet even with her long-awaited justice completed, Susie's revenge didn't end there.
After that, she hunted down and eliminated, in the most cruel and inhumane ways imaginable, every single man who had used her in the past, wielding the drug that stole victims' bodies as a weapon against them.
...I think I'll take this opportunity to say it: they thoroughly deserved it!
But... ahem... anyway. If I recall correctly, Susie's story concluded when she went after the last person who had driven her crazy.
What did that person do to her, you ask?
Well, had I not intervened, that person would have taken control of Susie's body to make her run naked down the street while performing all kinds of explicit and twisted acts. Therefore, driven by that trauma, the original timeline's Susie tracked down the person (or rather, the possessed victim of the moment) running unclothed in public and proceeded to eliminate them. However, before completing her final revenge, she was stabbed in the back by a woman of striking beauty, possessing a startling facial and physical resemblance to her.
Can you guess who she turned out to be...?
If you guessed that she was the first daughter she gave birth to in the hospital—abandoned at an orphanage—who was also seeking revenge against her own mother, unaware of the truth, then...!
YOU ARE CORRECT!!
Okay, getting back to the narrative: whichever way you look at it, that didn't end well for anyone.
So, as for how to help Susie, the issue of her currently being homeless can be easily solved by applying an {"Art of Forbidden Massage"} on my (possessed) mom to "persuade" her to hire her, just like I did with Sara... Or maybe we could adopt her in this case...? I mean, she's still mentally a child, so... Well... it should work!
But that leaves the major question: how do we solve the issue of her recurring possessions and the potential time bomb of revealing the truth to her...?
"Mmm... What do I do...?"
However, while I was hesitating and debating what course of action to take...
«If possession bothers you so much, why don't you just give her protection amulets?»
...Echidna dropped another sudden bombshell.
(Slap!!)
So naturally, I slapped her!!
<"What was that for?!">
And she seriously has the nerve to ask?!
"Because you always tell me too late!"
In the end, thanks to Echidna's unexpectedly late and annoying answer, I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for Susie's story. And I also discovered that all this time, I could have made friends without the constant fear of getting stabbed in the back...
Well, better late than never, I suppose.
