A Melody for the Beautiful Chaos

The Candy Forest now stretched out in an absolute and vibrant restoration, as if reality had been replaced by the canvas of a feverish dream.

"....."

Underfoot, the ground was nothing more than a mantle of crushed cookie dust and brown sugar, where small blades of grass made of crystallized mint sprouted with an unnatural glow.

(Bzzzz-hummm... Crac-shhh, crac-shhh... ¡Plinc! ¡Clinc!)

The trees, with trunks of solid chocolate and barks of salted caramel, rose toward a sky that retained the creamy tone of sunset, with cotton candy clouds dissolving into a slow rain of transparent syrup.

(Croc-crunch... ffff-suuu... plop... drip... drip)

However, despite that cloying and strange Eden, time seemed to have frozen in a scene of penance for one being.

"....."

There Shija remained motionless, with his knees sunk into the sugar ground.

(¡Chirp-glup! ¡Pio-merengue! ¡Sluu-wit!)

Even as the cake birds around him sang joyfully, he maintained his posture, waiting to accept his sentence, with his head bowed and his shoulders burdened by a weight he refused to discard.

"...."

He did not dare to look up, keeping his hands clasped in a gesture of silent supplication, waiting.

(¡¡¡SHIIII-PRISM-ROAR!!!)

In front of him, the atmosphere vibrated with a different energy.

{Now I remember...}

The colorful doll, after having been touched by the bubble of multicolor memories that emerged from the depths, was now suspended.

{It was like this... That was how I...}

The sphere, an iridescent film that reflected all lights at once, had expanded upon contact with the small rag figure, enveloping her in absolute protection.

{...That was my birth}

Inside that bubble, the doll floated like a fetus in a womb of light, while the flow of time and memory finished settling into her seams.

"....."

At the same time Shija, only a few steps away, sought neither to defend himself nor to flee; he only waited for the bubble to break, awaiting the forgiveness —or the judgment— of the small entity that seemed to be undergoing a metamorphosis.

{Then... Who am I... Me?}

Within the iridescent sphere, the doll's murmur ceased to be a babble and became a litany about her own origins, a truth that only she could understand.

{Could it be... Am I a... Monster...?}

As her words resonated against the walls of the bubble, her body began a transcendental metamorphosis.

{No... I... Am I human...?}

It was not a biological growth, but an absolute refinement of her essence.

(Zzzzt... tinnn... fiummm)

The boreal light that enveloped her began to act like an invisible needle of energy.

(Frit-frit... rrr-shhh... clic-clic-clic... zas)

The simple and colorful patches of cloth of her original body began to fray and reconfigure themselves with an astonishing geometric complexity.

{Incorrect... That is not what I am... I...}

Her dress, once an amalgam of scraps, transformed into a piece of dreamlike high fashion: layers of spectral silk, laces of solid light, and ruffles that vibrated with the colors of deep space were woven over her figure, granting her a regal and ancient elegance.

{Did you feel it...?}

Her features, previously non-existent, were defined with an inhuman delicacy.

{Did it hurt?}

Her face took on the softness of the finest porcelain, although to the touch it still retained the warmth of silk fabric.

{Was it agonizing... How did you feel...?}

Her hair extended in a cascade of chromatic threads that, under the influence of her awakened energy, split and knotted themselves into two perfectly symmetrical twin pigtails, fastened by bows that seemed to be made of pure crystallized will.

{... What was that place like? I... What... Do I want to ask?}

Although her joints still showed the seams that betrayed her nature as a doll, every movement of hers now possessed a human grace, a harmony that recalled a ballerina trapped in an instant of eternal perfection.

{Perhaps I do feel a longing... In the end I... I wanted to live...}

The bubble began to crack, unable to contain the pressure between the causal interaction by connecting the timeline in a unified way.

{... BUT... Even so... I longed to die}

However, the multicolor bubble did not yield to the pressure; instead, it began to rotate on its own axis with a speed that defied logic.

{... I was not created to be like this... Or at least I didn't want to be like this... It's contradictory... Right...?}

What was once a translucent sphere became a centrifugal motor of light, a whirlwind of boreal colors that sucked the light of the Candy Forest toward its center.

(¡Vuvu-vuvu! ... Shhhhuuuuuuu ... ¡Hummm-thump! ¡Hummm-thump!)

With each turn, the sphere emitted a harmonic hum that synchronized with the beating of a heart as it began to compress centimeter by centimeter.

(Ssssss-glup... ¡Clack! ... ¡Bzzzzzzzt!)

The energy, once scattered, became solid, dense, and lethally bright.

{No... I don't live for that... I live because you showed love... That's why I want to live up to the expectations...}

In the epicenter of that collapse, as if speaking, as if responding, the doll spoke with a calm and clarity she had not known since her birth.

{... Really... I feel so at peace now... Mama...}

Recumbent in the air contemplating the sky, her refined figure, with her twin pigtails floating in the vacuum of the rotation, relaxed completely.

{Yes... I'm okay with that}

It was then that, in a state of absolute euphoria, the doll "opened" her eyes.

{So... "Mama"... Don't worry so much... Nothing will change... Even if you let it out... Nothing will be different... No one will blame you...}

Upon opening, her pupils revealed a firmament of their own, a gaze that did not see the physical world, but the threads that held it together.

{That is why I will fulfill my role}

With a majestic slowness, the doll tilted her head back, letting her torso curve gently as she looked toward the vastness of the cream sky. Suspended in the air, she adopted a posture of absolute abandonment, an expression of peace so deep and ecstatic that it bordered on the terrifying.

{Hehe... Of course it's not fair...}

She seemed to rest on an invisible bed, surrendered to the euphoria of understanding, for the first time, the weight of her own existence.

{Because I want to do this for you~!}

The universe that previously enveloped her finished compressing, sinking into her chest like a star that goes out to become an eternal core.

{No matter how much you ask... Yes... The answer is that it will be worth it...}

There, on high, ignoring gravity and the pain of her origin, the doll became the sole focal point of a world that held its breath before her new and radiant resolve.

{It's true that the world is not fair... However... That's not all the world is... Right?}

The bubble of light, now fused with her chest, did not extinguish all at once.

(Fiuuuuu... shhh... fluuuup... shhh-whoosh)

Instead, its brightness began to wane with a majestic slowness, like a supernova retreating toward its own core.

{He, he, he! Hi, hi! Aha, ha!}

As the light faded, the doll, still with her gaze fixed on the creamy sky, began her descent... Laughing.

(Sssshhh-fluuu... fiii-uuu... hummm-shhh)

It was not a fall, but a graceful lowering, a procession of light consuming itself.

(Ffss-ffss... shuuu-wii... shuuu-wii)

Her twin pigtails moved in the air, and her figure, wrapped in that decreasing glow, spun gently on its own axis.

{It's totally true! THE WORLD IS TERRIFYING, CRUEL, WARM, COLD, SOFT, AND BEAUTIFUL!!}

The doll extended her arms with a gesture of pure childlike joy, as if she wanted to embrace the vast candy sky.

{Hee-hee... hi, hi... huumm... Really chaotic~}

A murmur of laughter, as light as the tinkling of sugar petals, escaped her porcelain lips.

{¡¡Hi, hi, hi! Ha, ha! Hi, hi... haaa!!}

With every centimeter she drew closer to the cocoa ground, the glow of her body diminished, but her laughter grew, resonating with a contagious happiness that seemed oblivious to the tension felt in the forest.

{... When I am born again}

Upon touching the ground, the last wisp of light dissipated, revealing the doll in all her glory: a figure of refined stitching, with her firmament eyes still sparkling with euphoria, and her arms still extended in a childlike and spontaneous dance.

{... In that moment... Please give me a name...}

In that way, the doll began to spin in circles, a whirlwind of spectral silk and galactic lace that blurred her outlines...
