The daily life and origin of a dragon

"Grawr~!"

Instinctively feeling that dawn had arrived, the morning silence, which had spread throughout the house, was broken by a deep, guttural growl.

"Zzzzzzz"

After giving the first morning yawn, a small figure stretched out in its nest of metal and debris.

"Grawr!"

Drag, the little chaos dragon, woke up in his home. It was a perfect place for his existence, as it was very similar to what defined his existence. The place had not only become his home, no, it had become his own kingdom, a paradise that could only exist thanks to the unique conditions in which he now lived. His new home was called an "attic" by his "mother," the creator of the place, a gigantic space that mocked the laws of physics.

"Arf, arf!"

The wooden stairs in the space curved in impossible directions, forming loops and spirals that led nowhere. Furniture and objects floated in the air, suspended as if the concept of gravity had never existed. A billiard table, with its balls floating around, hung from the ceiling, while a chandelier floated below it. A fishbowl, with its water upside down, allowed a goldfish to swim freely in the atmosphere, leaving a trail of bubbles that burst into colorful flowers.

"Ruff, ruff!"

The place, with its chaotic order and absurd beauty, was the perfect home. A place where Drag was finally able to be himself, away from the eyes of others.

"Grawr"

After finishing his happy stretch, Drag started his morning by walking to observe his "treasures," a collection of objects that his "mother" had given him when leaving them in his territory, remembering how she happily placed them one by one while saying something about creating the best "man cave" and how it would be her "oasis" in a desert full of women.

...But what the ignorant Drag didn't know was that the innocent plan of his "mother," Mireya, to have time to herself would be cruelly thwarted by her partners, who, against that secret plan, gave the place to Drag, and Mireya, unable to resist her maternal instinct, ceded it.

"Grawr~!"

In this way, the ignorant Drag, unaware of the sad origin of his territory or the sacrifice his "mother" had to make to give him the place, continued his walk, observing the objects that had been irredeemably altered by the environment.

"Rarf!"

He observed the old black-and-white television, with its tangled cables, which was connected to a teapot that, instead of steam, emitted a small rainbow.

"Arf!"

Then he saw how the books in his collection opened and closed their pages by themselves, their letters moving and changing to tell different stories, while light cracks in the ceiling opened up to the sky, making way for the morning rays.

"Grrr~..."

Looking at those sunbeams, Drag let out a small melancholic growl, filling his mind with memories like a pale fog, that of a memory that came back to him. He remembered the moment of his birth.

(LIGHTNING!)

There was no heat or light.

<<"Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!">>

The hatching of his egg was not a moment of joy, at least not for him, but an explosion of madness and pain accompanied by a joyful, resounding laughter.

<<"This is so much fun!!">>

The first thing he felt was terror, the fear of an existence that had just begun, instinctively knowing that something was wrong.

<<"I want to play, I want to play, I want to play, I want to play, I want to play!!">>

And the first thing he saw was horror, witnessing "something" that should never have been, "something" that should never have existed but still did.

<<"PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!!">>

As soon as he peeked into the world, he understood with horror the true essence of the being before him, of what could be called an "error" and he understood....

<<"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!">>

.... What it was to be a true "monster."

"Grawr~!"

He watched impotently as that "monster" brought chaos and madness all around, seeing how its mere presence gave way to chaos and destabilization, while universes collapsed around it, where masses and thousands of immeasurably powerful beings were crushed like mere ants.

<<"LET'S PLAY MORE AND MORE AND SO MUCH MORE!!">>

...But the worst part was that among all the beings present, there was not a single one who did not understand it... A truth... one that everyone there, regardless of their interests or existences, was incapable of denying...

<<"LET'S PLAY MORE!!">>

That that "monster," innocently... was just playing... After "being born."

"GRRRROOAAAWWW!!"

At that time, the newborn dragon, impregnated with the chaotic forces around him inside a dimensional rift, saw the horror that engulfed and transformed him. Finally, this forced a mutation, and in parallel to the birth of that "monster," arose the one who would be known as the chaos dragon, "Dragnir".

"Impossible!"

"Another monster!"

"It's a mistake!"

"Abomination!"

But as soon as he emerged, suffering from constant torment and pain, he was met with more pain. Beings of all kinds, from monsters, gods, humans, and incomprehensible beings, attacked, pouncing toward him...

"GRRRROOAAAWWWRRR!!"

...He was greeted with faces full of hatred and an incomprehensible fury. The attack was a symphony of screams and fury, a cacophony that proclaimed his birth an error, an abomination.

"Disappear!"

"Die!"

"Aberration!"

The words were daggers that pierced him. No matter who it was, everyone, without exception, called him a monster. The pain of claws and swords was nothing compared to the pain of those words, which were etched onto his soul. Instead of a refuge, the world had presented itself to him as a battlefield, a place where his very existence was a crime.

"RAAAAAAAAAWWWWWRRR!!!"

...Faced with the pain, his confusion, guided by his survival instinct, turned into fury, and guided by it, he fought, sowing destruction.

"RAAAAAAAAAWWWWWRRRRR!!!"

Thousands of worlds came to an end as Dragnir unleashed limitless fear and annihilation, under his uncontrollable fury.

"Hmmm...."

From among the countless beings who tried to stop him, a hero finally appeared...

"Please... rest... Surely... in the future... you will be able to live..."

That hero, who carried a mysterious and unique power, easily subdued him, surrounded by a white aura, speaking to him with an expression full of sadness.

"...In the future... it will definitely happen.... So please... when the night comes.... help us."

And the last thing he heard was that plea, promising an inevitable awakening...

"......"

Recalling that moment, Drag thought that man was right, reflecting on that conversation.

(Hello!)

(Good morning!)

(We're here!)

"Rarf~!"

...However, that reflection was interrupted by the arrival of the cheerful straw dolls, who came to play.

(Visitor!)

(Let's play together!)

(Fun!)

In this way, continuing his daily routine, Drag listened to the cheerful straw dolls talking about their recent games, remaining silent.

"Meow!"

(Lysandra?!)

(She found us?!)

(Oh, no!)

However, inevitably, in the end, as always happens, the arrival of the white cat Lysandra alarmed them.

"Meow!!"

(Flee!)

(Goodbye!)

(Let's go!)

And in that way, as always, they playfully fled to play more, and Lysandra once again chased them.

"Ruff~!"

Watching them leave in their morning chase, Drag continued on his way.

"Tch... I didn't expect that guy to jump out the window."

"...It was... shocking... wasn't it...?"

On his way, he passed by two of his "mother's" partners in the middle of the infinite hallway.

"Hahhh... I can't believe he made it here... If it weren't for the Lysandra's report, I wouldn't believe it... But, well, we're talking about the brat, so I guess I should have expected the unexpected."

The first was a humanoid female of the vampire race, whom Drag remembers having faced in his frenzy, who as always was seen drinking alcohol while walking naked down the hallway.

"Mmm... it was... amazing..."

On the other hand, a human walked beside her with a white cat mask hugged in her arms, whom Drag recognized for her ability to transport and travel instantly through space.

"Rawr!"

"Oh, hello, Drag!"

"...Hello."

In this way, Drag greeted them in the middle of his path toward his precious objective.

"He's going to the same place again, isn't he?"

"...I think... so..."

Seeing Drag excitedly go to watch his usual spot, both Lilith and Rima fell silent before continuing.

"Oh! You came well today."

"Rarf~!!"

After reaching his spot, Drag sat down, watching calmly like a guardian.

"Hehehe... I see you're really worried about this girl, aren't you?"

Seeing his usual attitude, the pregnant maid known as Trashia smiled naturally as she rubbed her stomach with great care.

"......"

"As strict as ever."

And so, once again, Drag waits patiently, diligently watching, waiting for the birth....
