Expanding the family
Hello everyone!!
Recently, I became the proud owner (and host) of a super cute black smoke snake (who is actually a thousand-year-old goddess) to whom I am apparently permanently bound for all eternity.
"Wait a second..."
Yeah... How on earth am I supposed to go to the bathroom from now on?!
Those are the kind of existential worries that actually keep me up at night!
But like the mature, well-adjusted adult I am (despite currently being stuck in the body of a 5-year-old), I decided to tackle my troubles in the most responsible way possible.
By completely averting my eyes and pretending they don't exist! (The blessed art of escapism).
Ahem...
Anyway, getting back to the topic. Everything has been fairly normal ever since a suspicious black smoke snake officially joined our small, peculiar family.
At first, when I introduced her, mom (possessed) just stared at her with a heavy scowl, wondering where on earth I had picked her up and why on earth I was dragging her home as if she were some stray dog.
<"Is it truly necessary for this thing to stay...?">
However, after a lengthy negotiation, she finally agreed to let me keep her with a clear look of annoyance on her face... especially after we showed off the routine of party tricks I taught the goddess back in our mental space.
Another absolute victory for me!
Now that she is an official part of the household, I decided it was time to give her a proper name. And after a series of heated debates and multiple dramatic rejections...
<"I categorically refuse to bear such a vulgar and generic name!">
It was unanimously decided that her name would be "Echidna."
Fun fact: my very first serious and elegant suggestion had been "Jennifer," but just like every other brilliant name I brought to the table, both my mother and the smoke entity herself shot it down without a second thought... Talk about a lack of taste!
Ahem...
Anyway, back to business!
This latest unexpected encounter really got me thinking. I realized that even though there are tons of bizarre things and dangerous entities that could pop out of nowhere to ruin my peaceful life, I could also use them to my advantage... or at the very least, neutralize them while they're still harmless.
And to put this wonderful theory to the test, I've decided to take a small, calculated risk.
So, my friends...
WISH ME LUCK!
