The echo of the gears

"Uh... where am I?"

The heroine with the codename, Saint Gear, woke up confused in a bed. Her body felt heavy, as if she had been asleep for a long time. Slowly, she lifted her torso and her gaze swept across the room.

"I... I think... I..."

She realized there was nothing else but a solitary immense bed and the walls of a large room that rose above her.

At that moment, Saint Gear's mind wasn't working properly. Still, she used her faculties as best she could and began to trace the vague memories that were coming to her mind.

"That's right. I was fighting against the tyrant Vespira... I was no match for her... In the end, she attacked me... I don't remember anything after that..."

As she searched her memory, she understood that she had lost. She, the heroine, had been defeated. She quickly understood the consequences of that event and regained her composure, since, after all, the word "hero" was not an abstract expression or a metaphor to refer to herself. The reality was that she was a heroine in and of herself.

Originally, she was an ordinary civilian, unaware of the supernatural world. However, one day she was chosen when she received an anonymous message from a being who called himself "X". Through her phone, she gained the ability to transform into the heroine Saint Gear and received information about her mission and what was at stake.

At first, she didn't believe it. However, the evidence was irrefutable. When she transformed, she noticed how her physical capabilities increased and, for the first time, she witnessed firsthand the horrors that the world was hiding in plain sight.

Since then, she decided to fight. For the sake of others, she faced monsters and invaders from other worlds that threatened peace from the shadows, defeating more than a hundred throughout her career.

However, upon reaching that point, the monsters did not stay silent. Finally, one of the most powerful executives of the invading organization Thunder Claw, known as the tyrant Vespira, appeared before her. Despite Saint Gear's resistance, the tyrant Vespira was stronger and defeated her.

"I... lost?"

"Yes, you lost."

"?!"

Hearing the nearby voice that had appeared out of nowhere, she immediately knew who it was, without needing to look. She quickly got out of bed, adopting a combat stance.

"Good morning, Saint Gear. You've been sleeping for a long time and I was getting tired of waiting."

"Tyrant... Vespira...!"

Saint Gear uttered her name, clenching her teeth in frustration.

"Shut up! I'll never forgive you!"

After hearing that audacious declaration, the tyrant Vespira merely scoffed in response.

Although Vespira is an executive who leads other monsters, her appearance still looks human. With her long hair, prominent nose, and beautiful face, she looks like a Western aristocrat. Her large breasts are not vulgar at all. Her toned body and long legs are the personification of beauty. She wears a tight and shiny black latex suit that accentuates her figure, so to those who don't know her or are unaware of her true identity, she only looks like a beautiful celebrity.

"Hehe... you're so lively. You're very cute. You're just my type."

However, despite her apparent beauty, a monster is still a monster. And now, she laughed maliciously.

"Shut up! This time... this time I'll defeat you!"

"Even though you've already lost?"

"..."

Upon hearing those words, Saint Gear didn't know what to say. After all, in their previous combat, she had been unable to make a single scratch on the monster in front of her.

"Besides, there's no need to fight, because, after all, now you'll be working for us."

"...What!?"

Not understanding that ridiculous statement, and filled with anger, she took the opportunity to attack.

"Work for you? I'm a hero! I have to defeat you! And don't you even think I would ever work for you!"

"My, you are very noisy. "Shut up"."

"As if I'd just shut up because of...!"

Upon hearing that command, she suddenly and against her will fell silent.

(Oh, what? Ugh... I can't talk?!)

To be more precise, she was unable to speak. No matter how much she tried, neither her mouth nor her tongue would move.

"Hehe... it seems to have worked. Well, I was sure it would work from the beginning, when you were naked and talking without shame."

The reality that the heroine Saint Gear hadn't understood was that, upon waking up, she was completely naked, exhibiting her youthful body before her hated enemy. Curiously, despite this, she hadn't felt uncomfortable, nor had she even noticed the abnormality of the situation until that moment.

(Now that I think about it, why am I naked?)

Only after it was pointed out to her did she feel a pang of shame and her cheeks flushed slightly.

"Ufufu... your face is flushed, it's cute."

(Shut up!)

Although she wanted to say those words, her body was incapable of doing so.

"First of all, you need to be willing to listen. "Pay attention"."

Upon hearing those words, Saint Gear changed her combat stance. She un-slumped, straightened her back, stretched both legs, and assumed the so-called "attention" posture.

(Is my body... acting on its own...?)

"Hahahahaha! It seems it was a complete success. Great! Hahahahahaha!"

Seeing the annoyed look of the heroine, who didn't understand what was happening with her body, Vespira burst into laughter. Finally, she calmed down and began to explain the situation.

"You see, I altered your brain while you were sleeping. I modified it so you could never disobey my orders. To start, I commanded you not to realize you were naked until I told you... and you were so calm, without any shame, that I couldn't help but laugh."

"..."

She tried to argue, but was unable to speak. She tried to hit her, but neither her arms nor her legs responded, causing a cold sweat to run down her cheeks.

"Ufufu... Then I'll continue giving you orders. Are you ready?"

Although her body remained motionless, Saint Gear seemed to tremble upon hearing those words.

After that, Saint Gear was subjected to all kinds of orders that trampled her dignity and pride, while she was unable to do anything but watch helplessly, trapped in her own body. In the end, after committing many more shameful acts that seemed to sully her sense of justice and her past actions, she suffered the greatest humiliation of her life to satisfy Vespira's orders.

In this way, a cycle began in which Vespira would prepare the orders, such as asking her to do a "breast dance," so that Saint Gear would immediately execute them. The cycle continued until, finally, the heroine realized that she had lost the will to fight.

"Haha, I've enjoyed this so much. Everything is going well. Now, let's move on to the next step. "Greet"."

As soon as she heard the command, Saint Gear immediately adopted a "greeting" pose: she arched her legs and placed her hands behind her head, while shouting loudly and vigorously, with a big, stupid smile on her face.

"¡¡¡Mmmmm!!!"

"I feel you're moving faster. Good, keep it up."

With that said, Vespira snapped her fingers, which, in that instant, caused Saint Gear's smile to transform into a grimace of exhaustion, as she breathed with difficulty.

"Ha... ha... ha..."

"What a surprise, no more insults?"

"Ugh... Shut up... Woof!"

The exhaustion she was suffering was no longer a surprise. After being forced to move her body and make facial expressions, in addition to being forced to perform humiliating things she didn't want to, it was obvious that she would feel extremely exhausted, both physically and mentally.

"You should be happy, because thanks to you we were able to confirm the results of the new experiment. And you've been selected for it!"

"Who would be happy about that...? Woof!"

With her head bowed, Saint Gear stared fixedly at the monster in front of her with a demonic expression.

"Oh, how scary! And you were so happy to follow orders just a moment ago."

After saying that, Vespira snapped her fingers and a large metal cube fell in front of her.

"Well, for the next phase of the experiment, we'll see if "you" are capable of resisting."

"¿?"

Vespira spoke naturally, but Saint Gear didn't understand her. Despite comprehending the words, she was still unable to understand what they had to do with the cube in front of her.

"For the next test, we'll see if your "personality" is capable of surviving, and if it's not, it won't be necessary anymore. However, your body, on the other hand, will work as a combatant. So, in simple terms, you will excrete your personality, and we will use your body."

"Wha... what are you talking about... Woof?"

With an annoyed expression, Vespira sighed softly.

"Well, I suppose it can't be helped... It was fun while it lasted."

That said, Vespira snapped her fingers once more and a magic circle appeared on Saint Gear's stomach, slowly entering her.

"W-what's happening?!"

The moment the magic circle completely covered her, her belly swelled to such a degree that it wouldn't be surprising to mistake her for a pregnant woman. A strong urge to defecate attacked her, as if something were roaring inside her.

(Why? Why? Why does my stomach hurt so much?!)

Seeing that, Vespira laughed cruelly, placing the cube beneath her thighs.

"I told you, you have to excrete your personality. Literally, let your personality come out of your butt. Hahahahaha!"

As Vespira laughed heartily, Saint Gear let out a vulgar scream.

"Uuuuh? OhOhhh! Oh!... ¡Oh!!!!!"

(This is bad...! My mind is going blank! My personality is leaving!)

And in that way, on that day, accompanied by the greatest and saddest humiliation of her life, the heroine Saint Gear left this world.

Saint Gear's final scream dissolved into the air, replaced by an unnatural silence. The spasms that shook her body stopped completely, and her naked figure slowly rose with robotic precision, her movements no longer those of a person, but those of a soulless machine. Her eyes, once filled with panic and fury, became empty, as inexpressive as a doll's. It was as if a switch had been flipped: the heroine's body, a tool of justice, had now become a weapon at the service of evil.

"Perfect. Now, you're just an obedient body."

Meanwhile, on the floor, Saint Gear's excreted personality materialized into a pulsating, amorphous mass of energy that a pair of Thunder Claw drones immediately encapsulated and took to a nearby laboratory. There, the organization's scientists subjected it to a series of brutal experiments, trying to fuse it with advanced technology to create a new type of combatant. Past attempts had always failed; personalities disintegrated upon contact with the alien technology. However, Saint Gear's essence, forged in pain and struggle, survived every test.

Finally, in one of those fusions, the personality mass stopped being amorphous. Slowly, it solidified into a bronze-colored metal being, its limbs and torso outlined by glowing circuit lines. From within it emanated the rhythmic resonance of gears turning in perfect sync. It was a creature of pure technology and logic, a fusion of Saint Gear's essence and Thunder Claw's alien technology. It possessed the ability to assimilate and manipulate any type of technology it touched, a weapon of destruction whose heart was the echo of the heroine's gears.

Although despite the resounding success of the experiment, the new mechamorphic mass needed time to recalibrate and eliminate any trace of the heroine's reluctant personality. Its state was extremely delicate, and any interference could ruin the prototype. For this reason, the precious being was kept in a hidden Thunder Claw organization base, a place so secret that only the elite knew its location.

However, the unexpected happened. During the recalibration period, that base was attacked by unknown forces. The assault was so precise and devastating that Thunder Claw had no time to react. Chaos took over the base. In the span of a single night, the valuable prototype disappeared without a trace. The organization lost three of its most important assets, three high-level generals, in the process. The night of the invasion ended in absolute silence, with the only evidence of what happened being the ruins of the base and the absence of its guardians.

But without the Thunder Claw organization knowing...

"Mmm... I guess I should give you a name, right?"

("Clinc/Clanc")

"I've got it! Since you're bronze, your name will be Brownie."

That invention had been named, gaining a new consciousness.
