Strange human
She was confused, for throughout her long and ancient existence she had been treated in many ways: as an object of worship, reverence, respect, and admiration.
"Do you understand once and for all how dangerous your thoughts are?"
On other occasions, she had also been the target of fear, hatred, resentment, and revenge.
<"Aha... yeah... whatever you say, mortal...">
But never, in all the eons of her life, had she received treatment as absurdly insolent as what she was currently getting from the person right in front of her.
"Don't give me that 'whatever you say' like you're doing me a favor!"
Throughout the centuries, mortals had always knelt before her imposing presence or trembled in terror at the mere sound of her voice.
"It seems you still don't grasp the madness of your own words..."
Before her, a delicate figure stared down at her, arms crossed over his chest, cheekbones slightly flushed from the exhaustion of talking so much, wearing an expression of implacable severity that didn't fit his childish face at all.
"This is serious, so pay attention!!"
On the other hand, facing the small human figure, that mass of dark smoke—which in the past had been a fearsome deity capable of making entire kingdoms tremble with a single hiss—now lay scattered across the floor of the mental space, vainly trying to gather its spectral fragments.
<"...">
None of her former devotees, nor her most bitter enemies, had ever dared to raise their voice at her, much less raise a hand to slap her. But now, in this strange and chaotic place, her pride as an ancestral entity lay completely shattered and trampled in the depths of that mortal mind.
"So they'll immediately send someone like a shrine maiden and...!"
From the very first moment she connected with him, this little being was quite peculiar for having a soul so tragically fragmented and damaged that it wouldn't have been surprising if he had ceased to exist, dying in the process.
"... And not to mention the organizations, the mafia, and even damned human trafficking."
Yet, against all biological and spiritual logic, there he was, alive and kicking, endowed with a colossal reserve of spiritual energy and protected by an impregnable psyche that, despite having assimilated her essence, she could neither read, influence, nor comprehend in the slightest.
"At that point, it would just turn into a suspense thriller, horror, or whatever!!"
Instead of rejoicing or succumbing to greed like every other man she had known throughout history, the child reacted with brutal outrage, slapping her not once, nor twice, but dozens of times while dragging her through a relentless and severe lecture that dragged on for three excruciating hours.
"DID YOU HEAR A WORD I SAID?!"
Until finally...
<"I UNDERSTAND!">
The endless lecture came to a close.
"Ha ha... Well, at least it seems the lesson sank in."
Only then did the inexplicable pressure around the human yield, letting out a laugh that was equal parts embarrassed and satisfied as he scratched the back of his neck, breaking the dense silence that hung in the air after his ridiculously long sermon.
"Good! I hope it's finally clear to you that in this mind, world domination plans and suicidal harems are strictly forbidden!"
Immediately after, the child let out a long sigh of relief, adjusting his clothes and taking a closer look at the deplorable state he had left the entity in, as she barely managed to maintain a coherent serpentine shape while floating awkwardly near the ground.
"Hey... are you okay? You're not moving much..."
That fearsome ancestral creature, whose very shadow used to strike primal terror into humanity, let out a pitiful, distorted whimper, trembling from sheer emotional shock and the humiliation of being lectured and beaten like a disobedient pet by a simple human child.
<"Sniff... sniff... You ask that NOW after beating me to a pulp for three straight hours?!">
As a result, unable to hold it in any longer, she snapped.
<"I am a millennial divinity, not a punch bag!">
The black smoke thrusted with pure resentment and drama, shrinking back into a corner of the mental space while the goddess tried to process the absurd, unheard-of fate she was now bound to.
"I'M SO SORRY! I SERIOUSLY DIDN'T MEAN TO GO OVERBOARD!"
Seeing the aftermath of his punishment and the spectral tears the entity seemed to shed, young Mireya clapped his hands together in panic, bowing repeatedly in a gesture of sincere apology before materializing a sweet ice cream cone in front of her as a hasty peace offering.
"Look, I got you this... it's French vanilla! They say sweet things put you in a better mood..."
And so, the mass of smoke, staring at the floating ice cream with a mix of outrage and resigned curiosity...
<"....">
Met the most bizarre, contradictory, and unpredictable human being she could have ever imagined encountering in all her existence.
"Come on, it's delicious!"
Yet, strangely enough, after all the chaos, that destined encounter...
<"... Fine.">
Didn't displease her at all.
