The Harsh Reality of Unforeseen Power

Hello everyone....

"Cough, cough... haaa... haaa... I feel terrible..."

<"... This... was... your... fault...">

"It... was... also... cough, cough... your... fault..."

"Come on, calm down please, you know you shouldn't talk in that state."

".... I... know..."

"If you know, then don't talk until you feel better."

"....."

Faced with Susie's words, I had no choice but to remain silent, barely keeping my foggy mind conscious. Haaa... How did this happen? What's going on? And most importantly, how long will I be like this?! These are all excellent questions that both you and I are asking, so taking advantage of the fact that I (literally) can't move, I'll explain the situation. You see, it all started some time ago, 3 days ago, when after Echidna's frying pan hit me, it gave me the necessary "illumination" to evolve my frying pan-style swordsmanship, taking it to a new level, which led me to train in the game's virtual world.

... Although, well, in the process a couple of unexpected things happened, like when the heroine Arisa Reaven, with whom I seemed to have already staked some kind of flag after... ahem... that "special" encounter... in the game... But we're not here to talk about how I played a risqué scene, so let's get back to the topic!

So, as I was saying, in the middle of my training Arisa appeared, suggesting that I wait for her to drink something in the academy hallway, which somehow ended up leading me to fight another one of the heroines in the game named Yuko Enatsu. She behaved very differently from her description in the game, or rather, she reminded me of a delinquent.

How do I know? Well, dear reader, that's easy. For starters, mom (possessed) usually adopts that kind of attitude all the time. Plus, I've lived with delinquents since I was 4 years old when they would kidnap me all the time... In fact... they still do... But don't worry because, after all! I'm already used to it!!

But enough of my childhood (current) anecdotes and, once again, back to the topic!

In conclusion, I fought against the heroine Yuko Enatsu and won, trying out my new double frying pan style, after which, for some reason, she submitted. But since this usually happens whenever I end up hitting someone, and also because mom (possessed) said it's natural to make "friends" (subordinates) after fighting them, I decided to stop thinking about it and accept in order to continue my training. Which I couldn't do because after I accepted her, she followed me everywhere, not letting me concentrate!

So, to escape from her, I started hiding around the academy until I found a perfect and quiet place to continue my training in silence to reach the maximum potential of the frying pan that I still visualized in my mind.

Did something go wrong? Well, dear reader, let me answer you with a resounding: Damn right it did!!

During my practice, another heroine appeared and started talking to me, pulling me out of my state of concentration, and she tried to keep talking to me while getting more and more frustrated, yelling nonsensical things like: "Look at me! I'm the sensation of the moment! Everyone adores me!" or muttering things like "my Coral-chan is perfect, how dare he ignore me..." while biting her nail hard, showing an expression of complete displeasure, to which I responded like a true gentleman by saying the magic words: "I'm busy."

But even with that, she wouldn't leave!!

And although I admit I wasn't paying attention to her, and in fact didn't even know who she was, thinking only about the frying pan as I felt myself getting closer and closer to reaching "something," I finally got irritated and decided to run away from her the easy way.

What did you do?

Well, like any normal person, I decided that if she hated me, she'd leave me alone, so I grabbed one of the wedding cakes I had made for practice from the game's inventory and threw it at her, then fled at full speed!

At first, I thought I did it perfectly; I mean, after all, I finally got to rub something in someone's face, and in the process, I got rid of an unnecessary distraction... But at that moment, I didn't know... I didn't know that woman was one of the heroines named Coral Nereide, and that what I had done caused her to chase me like an evil spirit...

I won't lie, I'm very grateful that the avatar is expressionless, because the heroines' persistence was terrifying. And before you ask how terrifying it was, let me just say that they literally appeared out of nowhere behind me in the bathroom, and it was even the men's bathroom! How the hell did they manage that?!

... Haaa... Haaa... Haa... Phew... I'm sorry about that, I still have nightmares about it. But anyway, the point of all this is that at this rate I was going to lose my precious "illumination" without achieving anything if I didn't get rid of the heroines or find a quiet and solitary place to train.

So I chose to find a safe and secluded place where I started training!

After starting the training, everything seemed to be going well as I felt myself getting closer and closer to reaching "something" by wielding my frying pan, so I concentrated deeper and ignored everything around me, submerging myself deeper and deeper into my mind.

The outside world faded more and more into a distant murmur that at that moment seemed to me to faintly sound like: <"What the hell are you doing in there?!"> or <"Is this bad?! Please, stop!!"> from Echidna. But at that moment, sadly, I was unable to stop, entering a mental state where little by little I began to perceive the emergence of something else that felt like an electric tingling running through my veins, spreading from the center of my being.

What I felt in those moments weren't just sensations, no; in fact, if I had to say how they felt, the words that would best describe them would be "energetic flows" that moved and swirled around me, dancing in multiple colors before suddenly beginning to unite, forming a kind of amalgam of colors that I can't even really explain.

At that moment, my mind finally returned to reality in which, with each breath, I felt a subtle pressure accumulating just under my skin, as if something was about to overflow with an internal burst that made no sound but resonated in my spirit as what I now understand was "aura" began to emanate like a tide around me.

At that moment, I definitely felt like I was about to explode while my mind began to go crazy with a kind of intense pain that almost took away my consciousness. At that moment, I'm still not sure if it was thanks to Echidna or if it was my survival instinct kicking in that allowed me to direct all that whirlwind of power into an attack to let it out, which led me to raise my hands, letting the energy flow into them while I felt everything around me vibrate. I compacted all that energy into the frying pan, letting it flow after bringing it down.

..... I won't lie, what happened next was the release of a terrifying torrent of energy that ended up leaving me so exhausted that I was pulled out of the game due to danger to my vital state.

What happened next? Well, when I came back to reality, I found a very angry Echidna who explained to me how, in short, I almost committed suicide... You see, according to Echidna, different types of energies coexisted within my body at the same time without interfering with each other, like the spiritual energy I use for my "massage techniques" or for the "dimensional storage pocket," and the "magical girl magic" in my body obtained thanks to the stupid bear fairy. These all mixed together due to the release of my aura in a kind of amalgam that destabilized them all, causing me to almost self-destruct in an explosion.

.... It was really close.

But thanks to Echidna's efforts, all that energy was suppressed!

... However, that came with extremely negative effects for both Echidna and me. Starting with the fact that I am now unable to use my abilities until my powers stabilize, meaning that right now I can't access my "techniques," nor can I turn into a magical girl (although I was getting used to it) and worst of all... I can't curse trucks!!

How is it possible for a "power-up" to have the effect of nerfing you?! This is unfair!! Haaa... haaa.... Inhale.... Exhale.... Okay, I... Go to your happy place... Okay, I'm fine! So let's continue please.

The second negative thing was that Echidna is now spending a lot of her own power to keep mine stable so that, you know, I don't explode! Which caused her great fatigue.

And the third and last negative point of all this was that as a side effect of all this, I ended up getting sick for the first time since I was a baby, and I know it very well because I remember it, after all, shortly after mom (possessed) ended up divorcing my biological father!

.... I still feel bad for being unable to do anything at that moment... But oh well... I wasn't even able to move back then, although ironically due to my current state, I'm also unable to move right now, depending on others like Susie to take care of me....

Isn't life ironic, or is this some kind of twisted karma?

Well, whatever the cause, the reality is that I'm sick, and it's both Echidna's fault and mine.

Why is Echidna also to blame?

Excellent question, dear reader, and well, you see, it turns out that the frying pan hit that Echidna gave me was charged with some of her divinity, which ended up being the catalyst to open my aura nodes that caused all this.

So, in conclusion, this wasn't entirely my fault!

.... Well, don't look at me like that, I admit this was 75 percent my fault, speaking... Happy...?

"... How long... cough, cough, cough...! Will this last...?"

<"... I... don't... know... This... has... never... happened... before...">

".......Damn... it!"
