A much-needed break

Hey everyone!

I know you might be wondering what I'm doing right now, and well, let me tell you, I'm drinking some hot milk while Mom (possessed) drives us home.

Want to know how we got here?

Well, for that, we have to go back a bit, exactly to the moment when the bear fairy explained the problem with some kind of rebellious fairy and how it was its responsibility to handle it.

And by responsibility, I mean leaving the problem to me!

Although, well... actually, since I accepted this job (initially forcefully) for the rewards magical girls get after beating up the bear fairy, I headed off to meet that fairy... Who am I kidding, the bear fairy dragged me there!

Am I cheating?

Tell me that after escaping a ruined (literary) world after months inside, only for time not to have passed here! I'm tired!! Haa... Haa... Haa... So, if I'm going to deal, even if it's for work, with a crazy fairy who took over a magical girl's body, I think I have every right to skip the (sadly) obvious lack of direction in the process. Because at this point, I just want to lie down and sleep or relax in my bed!

Ahem... But I still tried to solve this peacefully, you know? So I approached her while she was making a flashy display of power, which made it easy for me to find her right away, only for her to try to attack me moments later. Fortunately, I had my "crisis evasion," or that would have been dangerous! Or rather, it still was! Did you see what those bubbles did? Literally, getting caught or hit would have been a clear...!

[GAME OVER]

So, with no other option, I had to counterattack with all my might, but that fairy pulled out a power boost at the most unexpected moment! Which forced me to pull out my secret weapon.

What is it, you ask?

Well, you see, using my experience merging with Silver to form the Plate Knight, it occurred to me that maybe I could do something similar by using sympathy magic with others, so I decided to try! And after a long and hellish training where I took beatings after beatings while trying to master it, I reached the point of at least being able to use it... though with a few restrictions... But something's better than nothing!

What kind of restrictions?

Excellent question, dear reader!

Well, the first is that I still don't understand how the "fusion" will develop or the requirements for generating new forms, although fortunately, I discovered that there were acquaintances with whom I could do it!

.... But I'll be frank, I don't understand how these resonances give me such "peculiar" extra abilities. I mean, isn't it strange that the union with Lysandra generates lightning?! I mean, I can understand the tail, the ears, and the eyes, BUT! Where do the lightning bolts or that brutal increase in power and speed come from?! Because Lysandra is a "normal" cat! ... Maybe it's just the magical girl magic giving a boost or something? I want to believe that's the cause!!

But let's get back to the plot, shall we? You see, another downside of that "fusion" is that the instincts or nature of the other party greatly influence my behavior when activated, making it (seriously) difficult to control, so it's only used when there's no other option... And as you might imagine from the fact that I told you this, there was no other option... I won't lie, I lost a little control over my cat instincts, getting carried away...

Don't look at me like that!! It's a mistake anyone makes! Okay?!

Well, in the end, the bear fairy said they would take care of it, so with many doubts and worries, I decided to trust them... Yep... Still doesn't make me feel better...

"Haa.... I'm tired... Why is there so much to do?"

"Brat, that's because you keep sticking your nose where it's not needed."

"Ugh... You're right."

"... But you've helped many, so what's wrong with living as you decided?"

".....It feels weird that you're giving me advice, honestly."

"Tell me about it, but hey, if you get into trouble, remember you have help available."

"....."

"Then, it's best for you to have fun while you can for now."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"You'll know in a moment, after all, we've arrived."

When I heard those words from Mom (possessed), I indeed noticed that we were already in front of the house while Mom (possessed) was carrying me by the shirt with one arm to the door.

"You know, brat, it's funny how you always forget this date, but..."

As Mom (possessed) said this, she opened the door, from which confetti and balloons burst out, while a chorus shouted at the same time...

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIREYA!!"

"EHHH...?!"

"... the others don't forget it."

What?! How?! Huh?!

(Slap!)

"Ouch!"

<"It's not the time to stand still, after all, as Lilith said, you yourself need to rest, or it wouldn't be for nothing that you always forget this date.">

"....."

It was very embarrassing and ironic that even though this is supposed to be the day I escaped the hell that was the "abyss," I still forget it every year, and yet...

"Happy birthday, Mireya."

... Every year they remind me in this way.

"Yeah... Thank you... ¡¡Thank you very much!!"

You know what? Lately, I've gotten too involved. I guess it'll be fine if I just enjoy the moment for now, right?
