61 Sudden attack on the palace
"While Shi Tian was talking to Li Suxin, many experts of the Black Sand Kingdom led by King himself are moving secretly into the city to ambush the palace in the night's darkness. With the help of the Hao Tingguang, the enemies easily bypass the guards and enter the city. Certainly, Hao Tingguang has some trusted men in the army.
Dozens of men move into the darkness, rushing towards the imperial palace.
"Have your master found a solution for the defense formation of the imperial palace?" King Luo Delun looked at Hao Tingguang and said.
"I studied the palace formation for quite some time, very familiar with all formation of the imperial palace, you can leave the formation to me to deal with." Hao Tingguang replied.
"Good!" King Luo nodded. Killing intent flashed in his as he glanced at the imperial palace. Next, all of them moved towards the imperial palace with swift speed.
Fifteen minutes later!
Outside the imperial palace.
A few guards were patrolling around the palace.
A guard who was quick-witted shivered. The patrolling guard on the left suddenly said to the patrolling guard on the right, "Why do I feel a bit cold today?"
"You have a cold?" The guard yawned, and sleepiness instantly surged up.
The patrolling guard on the left shook his head and said, "How can we cultivators catch a cold? Wait for me, I'm going to use the restroom." As he spoke, he walked toward the nearby thicket.
The other disciple yawned continuously.
He stood there somewhat bored, waiting for his companion.
At this moment, his closed eyes caught a faint glimmer of light. Then, his ears moved.
Immediately, there were a series of rustling sounds. Although it was very soft, these sounds surged out from all directions like a tidal wave.
"Enemy -- attack --" It was almost accompanied by a mournful roar. It was so clear in the silent night.
In the next moment, a cold chill had already drilled into his back, pierced through his chest, and pierced through every part of his internal organs.
One masked assassin after another suddenly appeared, they came out of nowhere.
They held large knives in their hands and continuously hacked.
The patrolling guards were directly hacked to death.
One of the guards looked at the surging crowd and immediately sent out a signal.
"Enemy attack!"
"Enemy attack!"
After sending out the signal, he was immediately killed by the black-clothed man.
...
On the other side, After listening to the whole story of Lu Suxin, Shi Tian was greatly surprised. It turned out that after that lightning incident caused by her, she became the target of enemies. Three assassin attempts already, if it wasn't for the tight security of her mother, she might have been dead now.
"Shi Tian, you said you will introduce me to your master after I awakened my lighting physique. Can you help me to join your sect? I also want to join your sect." Li Suxin looked at Shi Tian sincerely and said with expectation.
Shi Tian was stunned after hearing her words, suddenly he recalled something that he said to her in the past. Indeed, he promised her this. Shi Tian became speechless this time, and curse himself.
Naturally, he can't fulfill her request, after he made up all. He never had any master, nor he was a disciple of any sect.
Shi Tian thought for a second, made an excuse, and said, "Suxin, my master left to travel, will not come back for some time. I don't know when he will return, so I am sorry I can't complete your request. Please forgive me."
Seeing her expression becoming dejected and sad, Shi Tian couldn't help but said, "Suxin, actually, you don't need to meet my master if you wanted to join a sect. Infect with your extraordinary talent, any sect with happily welcome you. You can any sect even fourth or fifty ranked sects would come running to your house to take you in immediately once you reveal your special physique."
Indeed, Shi Tian was not lying. Once those superpowers knew that Suxin awakened not simply an immortal physique, they would definitely try their best to rope her into their forces.
Li Suxin was a little surprised and stunned when she heard this, she didn't expect that her thunder physique would be so special. One has to know that the fifth or sixth-ranked sect were supreme powers of the eastern continent that she could only look up to.
"Shi Tian, I don't want to join other sects. I want to join your sect." Li Suxin said with a firm expression.
Shi Tian was at a loss at the moment, didn't know how to explain his background to her.
Suddenly, a warning sound came from outside the imperial palace.
Everyone was shocked because that sound was the signal of a strong enemy invading.
Could it be...? Did someone attack their imperial palace at night?
Shi Tian also heard the sound.
'Is it another assassination attempt?' Shi Tian's brows creased slightly as he murmured slowly. Li Suxin stand up hurriedly with a worried expression, fear could be seen in her eyes.
Shi Tian patted her shoulder and spoke softly, "Don't be anxious!"
...
More than a hundred people surged into the imperial palace.
One by one, these people charged into imperial. They killed anyone they saw, regardless of who it was.
Moreover, because it was an enemy attack, many of the guards of the imperial did not have the time to react before they were killed by the assaulters.
On the other side, King Luo and Hua Tingguang with dozens of strong men directly rushed into the inner structure of the palace. King Luo and Hua Tingguang didn't waste their time on the guards, their target was the Queen.
Queen and Li Yingzi both alerted by the enemy attacked, immediately took action. Just as Queen arrived in the main hall, she encountered King Luo and Huo Tingguang.
"King Luo So it's you!" Sect Master Yuxiao shouted in an icy voice.
"Li Song, how have you been?" King Luo said with a faint smile.
Queen didn't reply to him but looked at Hua Tingguang, seeing both of them together a bad sign appeared in her head.
"Imperial Adviser, what is the meaning of this?" Queen looked at Hua Tingguang and asked.
"Hmph, what could be? It's a rebel. I am simply taking what is mine. If it wasn't for you, this kingdom would be mine. I have shed my blood for this kingdom, but my entire life for this kingdom, unlike you who got the throne in free, you don't deserve it. You are not worthy of this throne." Hao Tingguang looked at Queen with hatred and said coldly, a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes.
"Imperial Adviser, you... King trusted you. How could you do this?"
"Less nonsense. We didn't come here for talking. Li Song, do us a favor and surrender yourself, it would save extra work." King Luo looked at Li Song and said.
"Big Sis, What happened?" At this time, another figure rushed into the hall wearing red armor, it was none other than Li Yingzi. She arrived beside and said as she glanced at King Luo and others with cold eyes.
Li Song explained in a few words, Li Yingzi was stunned when she realized that Hua Tingguang betrayed them, the flame of anger burned in her eyes.
There are two martial grand masters on Queen's side and both of them upper level grandmaster while the opponent has dozens of martial grandmaster, including King Luo and Hua Tingguang who were both upper level martial grand masters. Other than Queen and Li Yingzi only Deng Jiao could be helpful in this situation, after all, she was also a martial grandmaster but Li Song had already send her to protect her daughter.
Looking at the enemy lineup, Li Song's eyebrows frowned with worry, but she still had the hope of winning. If it was outside the palace, she might be in a desperate situation, but it was a little different when it comes to the palace. That's because there was a great formation laid in the palace for these kinds of scenarios.
"Dream on, now you have come to my palace. Forget about leaving." Li Song said as she took out an array key to activate the formation.
Once the formation activates, even ten master grandmasters could be suppressed. But at this time, her expression changed, she couldn't activate the formation. She tried again and again but there was no response from the talisman or formation.
"What happened?" Li Yingzi asked seeing the troubled expression of Li Song.
"The formation? Something is wrong with formation. It's not working." Queen said with
He looked at the Queen and said while laughing, "It's no use, I have already altered the formation."
Queen's expression turned ashen when she heard his words. There was no need to doubt him, array key already confirmed it.
