Chapter One Forty-Three Interstellar Trade
Kophi shifted uncomfortably in her dress as she watched the transport crew making final preparations for launch. The ship had landed late yesterday evening, with new colonists and supplies for the town. A bit of a rare treat really, Eshra Seven was remote and underdeveloped. As a result few transports would take the expense of a trip here and those that did charged a high fare for a ticket. A shame, but not unsurprising. Give it a few years and things would change. As more people came to the colony, industry would grow. Right now they had little to offer to interstellar trade routes, aside from local lumber that is.
Most might not think of wood as something worth transporting dozens of lightyears, but not every world was blessed with lush forests. Not only that, but the rich were known to spend huge sums on exotic wood. The local wood being relatively new to the other worlds was certainly exotic, but it was also quick growing with desirable properties. Both in strength and resilience, while being aesthetically pleasing. In both natural and worked states. Of course given the high local demand for building materials, there was precious little lumber to trade. A fact that further exacerbated the issue with people unwilling to transport to the colony.
Regardless, the new colonists were well received. A smile graced her lips as she recalled her encounter with the ship’s captain. She preferred not to play with men, but it was going to be worth it. Perhaps soon they would have some better prospects for trade. She giggled at the thought and hoped the little ones going with them will be alright.
As she watched from her spot, a siren turned on. Alerting people to clear the field, she didn’t move since her own location was quite safe. Giving her a prime view of the ship as her thruster ports began to glow. A second later, her antigravity drive flared allowing the ship to rise out of her berth. Then her thrusters fired, a short burst as she began to move into the air. She smiled, their children were spreading. Perhaps they will find the colonies that were lost? A frown occurred to her, as she wondered what her mind was on about for a moment. It didn’t matter though, as she made her way back to the tower to resume her duties. They had people to welcome, a party seemed like a good idea.
Aleki and Eshia stepped out of the office. Behind them Rithia smiled, “See you two in a couple of weeks?”
Eshia nodded, “I set up the appointment earlier.”
Rithia grinned, “Excellent. I’ll see you then!”
The doctor slithered back into her office. Having spoken with her for a bit, he had learned that she was a Rukarian, often called Pussydraggers as a bit of a slur. Yet many of them actually embraced the term and made it their own. He recalled from his office figures that there was a small but growing population of Rukari in the Federation core. As trade between the Federation and the Rukarian Domain grew, it was perhaps not surprising that some of their population would choose to settle in Federation space.
He recalled his department had a watch list, and it did cross his desk not that long ago. Not that he recalled seeing a Rithia on it. Mostly alien individuals suspected of being spies or criminals. Having met her, he had a hard time picturing Rithia being a danger. She seemed to be a kind young lady and was very supportive of his growing family.
Pushing those thoughts aside, the two of them boarded a car that arrived to pick them up a couple of minutes after leaving the clinic. The ride home was short, and traffic was thankfully quite light. Letting him disembark in front of his house quicker than he had expected.
The family home was settled on a quiet street. While some people of his rank might have homes with sweeping views or grand architecture, he needed neither. Instead he found peace in this humble quiet abode. A grand tree dominated his front yard, an ancient deciduous tree with a trunk thicker than he was tall. He was told the tree had been here for nearly a thousand years, but it was still quite healthy with bright green leaves.
The home behind it was a two-story tall building, with pale blue walls and a solid wood door. The upper story was smaller than the first which gave room to his favorite feature, a massive upper deck which also served as the roof for about three quarters of his home. It was attached directly to the master bedroom which took up almost the entire second floor. They did have a nice attached bathroom and a walk-in closet.
Stepping inside, Eshia headed towards the stairs to the basement, “I’m going to fetch Qeina’s old crib from the basement. Get started on the nursery.”
He nodded along, he figured that would be upstairs. There was one room that they used to use as a nursery, although it was currently being used by his wife. He smiled,“Sure, would you like me to get started on dinner, or would you rather order something?”
“Order something, I’m in the mood for something special.”
He chuckled, “Sure thing.”
Aleki knew well that she enjoyed eating out on occasion or as the case may be ordering in. He headed for the kitchen and used the comm terminal there to quickly order from one of their favorite local restaurants. The place had a solid delivery service too, which gave him time to visit his at-home office. The room was modestly furnished with several rows of bookshelves, an ancient desk that he inherited from his father, who in turn got it from his father. Making the desk a bit of a family heirloom. One that had been passed down for a few generations, it even had the nicks and scratches to prove it. It had been passed down so many times, that the family wasn’t sure how old the desk was. He could have had it dated, but it wasn’t that important to know the answer. Besides some mysteries were just fun to have around.
Reclining into his chair he booted his monitor and took a moment to look over his mail. A new trade report was available, along with a report on a minor border skirmish, and an update on Project Starlight.
Opening the border skirmish report, he found it was just a customs frigate engaging with an armed freighter attempting to illegally cross the border. Nothing unusual there. Especially in light of the contraband, the frigate crew confiscated during the altercation. Not seeing any flags worth his attention, he took a look at Project Starlight.
They’d made some progress but it was still slower than anyone would have liked. Although given the scope of the project and its goals that was perhaps not entirely unexpected. Glancing to his order for a moment, he found they were just about to leave the store. So he had a few more minutes.
Opening the trade report, he looked it over. Mineral prices were up, and the imports for refined alloys were also seeing record highs. Expected, given the record highs on ship construction and repairs. There were still manpower issues also.
Moving onto the next line item, he noted an increase in people leaving the Federation with some thirty million having booked passage to the Efiri Interstellar Union, with another twenty million having chosen passage to the Rukarian Domain. Given the menace invading their space it was perhaps not surprising that people with the means were migrating into alien territories. It wasn’t a bad idea, although numbers here hadn’t changed too much. Given the homeworld and several other core worlds were still fairly removed from the fighting.
Scrolling through the trade report, he started flagging a few items he felt worth looking into further. Then he moved into foreign trade reports, quickly noting one item of interest. “Eshra Seven? Hmm interesting, pretty remote too. Might be worth something.” He marked that planet down, a fresh colony wasn’t too unusual, but it was in a remote sector. Being remote gave it some value as a launching pad for exploration into unknown space, but more importantly, it was quite far from the war. Perhaps the colony would be open to accepting refugees? It would solve one of his problems. The more he thought about it the more he considered the world worth looking into, there were a number of things a remote world could provide. He’d float sending a mission there for negotiations in the morning.
Checking on his order progress real quick, he noted they were going to be here soon. With that in mind, he headed for the door. He didn’t have to wait long before his order was here. He thanked the young lady who brought the order and headed back inside.
Reaching the kitchen table, he unpacked the food and got out a pair of plates and some cutlery. Just as he was about to call dinner, Eshia came into the room. “I thought I smelled something good. You read my mind!”
The two of them settled in to eat and enjoyed a nice dinner together before retiring upstairs. Eshia took a moment to tease him on the way up, flipping her skirt up to show that she’d removed her panties at some point. He grinned on the way into the bedroom. Barely paying attention to the old nursery, which was standing wide open. Some of the items within have been pulled out, including her desk.
In moments they were naked, their clothes strewn on the floor. Idly he noticed his balls were rather swollen, as his wife pulled him onto the bed. She moaned a little as she played with herself. Drawing him in, he ignored his swollen balls and began to help her warm up. Not that she needed much foreplay. It was a bit of a shame really, he often enjoyed playing with her body and seeing her moan. The thought slipped from his mind, as her pussy swallowed his shaft. He moaned as it clamped onto his rod and her tits bounced above him as she moved. This was nice too.
She moved vigorously on his shaft, each movement made her boobs bounce enticingly. Noticing his gaze, rather than lean forward so he can play with them, she started to play with them herself. Kneading her breasts with both hands, yet carefully avoiding her nipples that had swelled into a pair of hardened nubs. Just begging to be touched.
As her sex slammed against his swollen balls yet again, he moaned. His shaft spurted out warm seed. She moaned and then leaned forward a bit, “That’s it dear! Fill my womb!”
He complied, as she clamped down harder on his shaft, while he enjoyed the show she was making with her breasts. Not long after, she shuddered atop him, just as he was about done, making him cum again. Almost surprising him with how vigorous he was today. Then the thought about that also slipped from his mind, it was perfectly normal to be extra vigorous after coming back from the clinic.
Rithia smiled as she finished her paperwork. Today had been a good day for her. Meeting Aleki had been quite the treat. She could see why Eshia loved him so much. He was a prime specimen by any measure. One Rithia would love to play with again. She was really looking forward to their next meeting.
With thoughts on future meetings in mind, she uncoiled from her desk and slithered off into the hall. Adjusting her coat around her before picking her direction. She had a young lady to check in on. A smile touched her lips at the thought of the young lady, she was really cute and so fun to play with. Like Eshia this young lady was also pregnant, but much further along.
