Chapter 77: Development

Mei was pleased, as she closed up the control panel she'd been working on, humming a nameless jingle she was fairly certain came from some Super Sentai commercial from the Pre-Quirk era back home. Stepping back, she dropped the off-tune noise in favor of a satisfied squeal as she looked over her Travel Gate Baby! It was almost ready! Actually, it was complete enough that she was tempted to try powering the Gate on, but even she wasn't quite crazy enough to do that without more testing. That might have surprised some of her past peers, she supposed!

Still, there was a pretty big difference between a minor, harmless explosion that threw her through a steel door or two, and what would happen if Gate Baby exploded! The minor, latent mutation she'd gotten from momma had made her durable enough that a steel door or two wasn't any big deal! But being ripped apart by a hole in the fabric of spacetime would be considerably less survivable! As interesting a death as that might be, being dead would keep her from getting more Izu-Dick. Which just wasn't a sacrifice she was willing to make! Besides, she still had a whole galaxy of incompetent tech to fix with her awesome babies!

No, boring as it was, she would have to test the man-sized Dimensional Transport Gate more thoroughly before powering it on. Then, you know, possibly power it on remotely the first time from a parsec or two away. Standard precautions for something that might destroy a planet if you got it wrong enough! Still, if she got it right, Izu would be so happy! The melding of her original Quantum Gate design with what she'd learned from the Kwa Infinity Gates would be a super useful Baby! Instant movement from any point in the galaxy to any point with a matching Gate! Sure, she was having a heck of a time scaling it up, the largest fully stable version the one she'd decided to repurpose into her Portal Panties for remote Izu-Dick delivery. But the concept was super useful!

She was just enjoying a nice daydream about Izu and Aayla giving her headpats for making a Hypergate Baby that could connect all their strategic systems in a network for fleet transit when her comm's alarm went off. Blinking, she raised the wrist-comm and slumped when she saw it was an alarm for a meeting with Boring stuffy-pants. Dude made great ships from her designs, but he needed to get laid or something so he'd stop sweating the details so much! It was like he'd never blown up a hyperdrive on accident! Everyone did that! Sheesh.

Sighing, she solemnly marched off to deal with Boring Man. At least Mega Milk would be there to suffer alongside her. Now that was a woman who knew how to properly handle her unintended energetic disassemblies!

... ...

"Mega Milk!"

Bodica Tveree grinned as she heard that nickname coming from behind her in a doppler-effect. She braced herself for the inevitable, leaning at just the right moment to absorb Mei's collision, spinning the pinkette through a full rotation to bleed momentum. Surprisingly solid girl, for how comparatively small Mei was in relation to Bodica's own nearly two-meter frame. Looking over the Grinning Gremlin's head, Bodica enjoyed the looks of incredulity on the various newbies faces. As the Senior Designer for the League of Free Worlds' entire Starfighter Program, there were always new people around here these days as the various sub-teams constantly expanded. Watching their reactions to Mei's utter irreverence was a quiet, half-secret delight of Bodica's. She usually got it twice, if she watched long enough for someone to whisper just who Mei was in their ears, too. Quality entertainment, completely free, just add one Mei to any situation!

It was a private amusement she knew was shared by her second in command, Leland Lockesly, better known to Mei as 'Triangles,' for the dozen or so tattoos her Mirialan second had. The tattoos were more properly diamonds, but Mei had declared diamonds 'too girly' for someone with 'abs that nice.' The bewildering combination of logic had thrown her relatively serious companion for a major loop when he'd first met Mei. Leland had since adapted, at least where Mei Management was concerned. Honestly, the delightfully chaotic pinkette was good for him, and he'd at least learned to take a sort of bemused and twisted joy at seeing other people as thrown as he had been when they first encountered the Grinning Gremlin.

"Good to see you, girlie! I take it you got sucked into today's cram session over the new ships?"

Mei, much to Bodica's amusement, slumped into a pout, all her usual endless energy seeming to leave her. Nikkila, Mei's Mikkian mix of manger and minion, appeared to answer the question, having followed her friend and charge at a more sedate pace.

"We did. A number of the new craft have core design elements that came out of Mei's concept work, so they want her on hand to spot any problems with the final implementation. I take it they brought you in to talk about the new generation of fighters?"

Bodica nodded, even as she pulled the slumping Mei along like a limp noodle.

"Yes, our first all-original fighter design is going to see testing alongside the new capital ships. The Paladin actually has the first few squadrons of them. Both the manned and drone iterations."

Mei perked up at again at the mention of the new starfighters.

"Oh-oh! You go the problem with the plasma railguns fixed?!"

Bodica smirked, satisfied to be the one to fix something that had stumped Mei for once.

"We did. We had to figure out a way to tap the energy torpedo generator for a kickstart, which means you can't fire them and the energy torpedoes at the same time. But by the time you're close enough to something that the energy torpedoes are the right call, you probably shouldn't be using the plasma rails anyway. Their main advantage is their engagement range, after all."

Mei's nose crinkled as she thought it through, then she nodded.

"Right! That…works. You'd need to have completely overhauled the capacitor system though?"

Bodica waggled a hand in a so-so motion.

"Not as much as you might think. We managed to tweak the plasma rails to the point that the extra boost they need is only about a tenth of the generator's output, so…ah, hold on. Looks like we're here."

All of them had gotten moving as they talked, and they'd arrived at the conference room where they were all meeting up about general developments in the Fleet mix. The upcoming few months were going to see several new designs, including the Hero Mk 1 space-superiority fighter that was Bodica's current project, rolled out to the Fleet. Alongside the new Paladin-class, the first of which had already been sent to the front, a new stealth frigate and the Interdictors, the rolling deployments were meant to help generate a second wave of successes in Hutt Space.

Of course, the new ships wouldn't be alone. There hadn't been any sort of guarantee they'd deploy on time, after all. Which meant that production on existing designs had been going along at breakneck speed as well. Only the Munifex II had been stopped from the current stable of in-production designs. Though there was also a new corvette design that would likely be replacing at least some of Defender II production over time in the future.

The Defender II was an amazing patrol ship, but just a bit underweight as a screening corvette for full fleet engagements. Something that hadn't been part of its designed role when Mei first created it. The new Gungan-designed Ray-class corvette was almost fifty percent larger and far more heavily armed. It even had room for a four-fighter flight of the new Heroes, along with the Sidekick Drone fighters that were designed to fly wing to the Heroes. Of course, given how popular the Defender II was rapidly becoming with everyone in the Outer Rim that was trying to build up their own defenses, they wouldn't be stopping production of the design entirely. Just transitioning production to focus more on the export version that was for sale to friendly governments.

"Well, let's go see how long it takes for Tervo to pop a blood vessel this time, eh Gremlin?"

Mei groaned, even if her lips twitched just a little at the thought of making the genius stick-in-the-mud red in the face…

... ...

Mei moaned appreciatively as Nikkila worked magic fingers on her shoulders. If she wasn't already involved with Izu and Blue, she might offer to marry the girl for her massages. As it was, it worked to perk her up after her mind had gone numb from Boring Man's conference. How could someone make such awesome babies seem dull?! It was unnatural, that's what it was. If Mega Milk hadn't slipped her the specs of the new Hero and Sidekick fighter designs, she'd have needed to cause an explosion as an escape tactic before her brain lost important creativity braincells! She needed those or she'd turn into Boring Man!

Still…she had to admit that she was impressed by how much Boring Man had gotten done. She understood why Izu put up with him. His Boringness was perfect for handling little details like where to put the toilets on her awesome Ships of Extra Doom! Not to mention for managing all the numbers and budgets, and other such boring and nonsensical things needed to get her designs into mass production. Once she had done all the hard parts of making Awesome Babies, it was nice to be able to hand them off to others to worry about making more of them. That part wasn't interesting at all, even if she knew her clients needed them in mass!

"Ah, looks like it's about time. Master Midoriya told me to say 'enjoy your reward for being a Good Girl.'"

Mei blinked, whining instinctively as Nikkila stopped massaging her shoulders and stepped back. To her confusion, her most useful minion headed towards the cockpit of the custom shuttle they'd taken to Koobi. Given most of the topics the conference had covered were still Top Secret until they deployed, meeting in the secure system to discuss them all had been a must. Still, Mei had designed this shuttle personally, including its entirely-custom and thoroughly air-gapped auto-pilot. Why would her minion need to—

Mei squeaked, jerking up from her half slump as something that felt suspiciously like a nozzle was pushed into her pussy. Hands instinctively flying down to  press against her chastity belt and the portal inside it, they inevitably just bounced off the metal as that thing nozzle oozed some sort of semi-liquid cream into her intimate bits. The revelation of what that cream was came quickly as a finger, too delicate to be Izu's, followed after the nozzle was pulled back. Blue's finger, for it pretty much had to be hers, was thorough in spreading that cream around. Every place it was rubbed into lit up with intense stimulation even as Mei's sex started to positively gush and the rest of her body raced to catch up.

An aphrodisiac. One that was combined with some sort of sensitivity booster, too.

Mei whimpered, her hands flying to her tits and mauling them helplessly, unable to do anything else to ease her abrupt and extreme arousal. Thankfully, that slim finger, once it seemed satisfied it had thoroughly worked the cream into Mei's most sensitive places, was joined by a second and both began to pump. Lewd moans spilled from Mei as her normally racing thoughts just blanked under the amplified sensations just those two fingers flooded her with, time losing all meaning as she came hard.

The fingers vanishing would have wrenched a wail of despair from her, given how horny and amped up from the cream she still was…if Mei had still possessed enough breath to scream. Before she regained enough air to manage to express her displeasure, she was instead forced to let her voice free as renewed moans, due to a much thicker rod of flesh replacing the withdrawn fingers. She'd know Izu's cock anywhere, and she mindlessly and uselessly tried to hump her distant lover as he stilled inside her. Incomprehensible begging spilled from her lips as he stilled, only to once again be replaced by even lewder moans as Blue's lips found her clit and her uniquely textured alien tongue flicked across Mei's magic button.

Mei's brain, even with the lights half switched off from pleasure, was too good at mapping angles and objects not to form a picture for her of what must be happening. Her lovers must have positioned her Portal Pussy box so that Izu could effectively fuck her doggystyle, while Blue positioned herself 'under' Mei's pussy relative to that position. That angle, particularly without Mei's body to get in the way, would allow the Twi'lek girl perfect access to Mei's clit without getting in the way of Izu's glorious fuck rod. A rod that was finally starting to move, even if far too slowly for Mei's current desire to be pounded raw!

Desperately and uselessly humping her chair, Mei practically ripped her shirt getting it off, clawing to get more contact with her tits. Her bra followed and both nipples were pinched and tugged violently, the extra stimulation just barely enough to send her over the edge again, her pussy clamping down on Izu's cock even as it continued, barely slowing despite her body clamping down in an attempt to hold it place. Any oversensitivity was drowned out by the pure arousal the aphrodisiac cream had caused, combined with her half-desperate desire for her lover's cum. Time lost all meaning as she was pounded from parsecs away, the combination of Izu's relentless pace and Blue's maddening skill with her tongue driving Mei to a third and fourth climax before, finally, massive pulses of thick seed poured into her pussy.

The sensation drove her over the edge again, even as chemical relief followed the biochemical release, Izu's cum neutralizing the aphrodisiac agent in a way that would have intrigued Mei if her mind wasn't a complete, gibbering wreck. Slowly tipping forward, Mei keened as her body gave out and she passed out face-first on the table she'd been sitting at from the start.

She didn't even stir as, a few minutes later, Nikkila came to check on her. Her manager-minion smirked at the mess her 'boss' was, cleaning her up a bit and repositioning her to be more comfortable, adding a blanket to keep the chill air present in most ships from bothering her. Satisfied, she sent a quick message back to her actual bosses, letting Izuku and Aayla know Mei was alright and had enjoyed her surprise 'pick me up' after their boring-but-important meeting…

... ... ... ... ... ...

A/N 1: So, I'm honestly surprised how many people didn't clue into the fact that Mei's 'remote sex toy' was the product of her larger experiments. Even the people that connected the dots thought they were being clever by pointing out other uses for the portals she made :-p. The reality is that the Portal Panties were supposed to be a hint that Mei was working with the Infinity Gates. Remember, I had her take a download of Kwa technical knowledge clear back when they went through to explore Tython. Her deciding to turn the prototype into her chastity-belt/portal panty remote sex toy was simply her original prototype being small enough that she thought it would be fun to tweak it that way. Since no one seemed to be connecting the dots, I decided I needed to make it more obvious...

A/N 2: Oh hey, we finally have a name for Mega Milk! More to the point, I wanted to mention that 'plasma railguns' are a real concept. They are NOT solid shot projectile weapons. Instead, it's a type of railgun that fires a plasma burst. While the literature on them isn't overly robust, I'm using them here as another 'Mei is irritated at the stupidity inherant in the system' invention. While they have downsides, such as only working properly in a vacuum, they are a pseudo-scientific answer to starfighter ranges. Mei thinks (like I do) that the practically knife-range that starfighters dogfight at is stupid, so she introduced them as a longer-ranged plasma weapon for a pure space-superiority fighter. The fact that they ARE pure space-use-only is a downside that offsets the increased range they will have. A bit of a tradeoff rather than a straight upgrade.

The Energy Torpedoes though...that bit is actually based in existing Star Wars tech. An H-6 prototype stolen by the pirate Nym was modified with a Bomblet Generator. Which could generate infinite bombs. If it could do that...I argue that the more sane use of it would be to create an energy torpedo system. Relatively short ranged, much like starfighter missiles, but without the ammo limits. Their new fighters have them in place of concussion missiles or proton torpedoes. They do have a downside in that they aren't guided, meaning they aren't great for anti-starfighter work. But they are fantastic for letting them take on bigger ships. I think one of the Vulture variants had an Energy Torpedo that worked on that idea as well, though I didn't remember that until after I'd worked through the above logic myself.

Anyway, eventually, they'll realize the weapons mix isn't ideal and MK IIs of the Hero/Sidekick line will have a slightly different matchup with the energy torpedoes end up in a bomber design instead. But that's me trying to depict a legitimate development cycle rather than making a perfect fighter all in one go.

A/N 3: I hope people enjoyed the little lemon seeing what the OTHER end of Mei's little experiment is like ;-).
