“Three King’s Inheritance…”
Lo Jik doesn’t consider himself overly lucky after his fatal encounters with animals. He recalled a few stories from his past life. Most of these stories claimed great affection between animals and strange creatures of different worlds. But fuck Lo Jik and his ass, from the weak Blood Hound Wolf to Xuan Yuan Divine Pheasant—his luck has been terrible! He only got a slight rest at Fei Hou Mountain due to the arm-wrestling Bandit Monkeys. But what happened next?
Elephant Emperors.
So, the appearance of the Three King’s Inheritance shook him. He cannot be this lucky. Lo Jik worried about an adequate external reason to leave the Shang Clan and got it?
Just like that?
It’s been three days since the Inheritance opened. Lo Jik paid a hefty amount to Feng Yu Manor to remain updated on the situation. It’s to show his intrigue for the Inheritance.
Three Kings…
The title refers to King Quan, Xin, and Bao.
They are established experts from a few centuries before, their origin dating 300 years back.
The Three Kings were originally surnamed Wang, born in the Wang Clan. However, this clan was exterminated by its mortal enemy—The Wu Clan. This Wu Clan and the Wu Clan with Immortals behind them are different entities. The former was not a Super Clan. These three survived and escaped the slaughter.
These three children were two males and one female. The eldest was eight, and he would become the future King Quan. The youngest was five—King Bao. As for the female, the future King Xin, she was only six.
Wu clan was busy absorbing their remnant forces to completely digest their gains from the Wang clan.
What could three children do?
They were not even Gu Masters. Thus, they did not bother with the children, only sending out an arrest warrant and forgetting about them.
The person sent to kill them was also a lazy man. He picked three kids to kill, faking that he had completed his mission and returned. Thus, the three children were unintentionally saved.
They experienced hardship and suffering, barely staying alive. As they supported each other, they developed a deep relationship.
Their hatred for the Wu Clan deepened as they grew older.
But after the Wu clan absorbed the Wang clan, they got much more powerful. The Clan was now a Large Clan that owned three Mountains! After years of operating, their forces were even more deep-rooted. The three kings were alone, not even given the chance to awaken their aperture. It was an impossible dream for them to take revenge on the Wu clan.
But life was uncertain, and fate worked in mysterious ways. You can never know what your fate might be in the future.
The trio was thrown into an ancient Inheritance ground when they risked their lives for a few herbs to sustain their livelihood.
This was not an ordinary inheritance. It was left behind by a mysterious rank-six Gu Immortal.
Three Kings experienced a change in fate. They each inherited a portion of the rank six Gu Immortal’s inheritance, working hard to cultivate it for nearly a hundred years.
The three encouraged each other and worked hard together. When the trio felt the time was ripe after advancing to Rank 5. Thus, they left the inheritance grounds to exact revenge on the Wu clan.
At that time, the Wu clan was at the peak of their development.
The three kings did not use schemes or plots but went directly to their doorsteps! Wu clan leader was a rank five Gu Master. How could he endure the assault of three Rank Five Gu Masters?
Especially when these three rank five Gu Masters inherited an ancient inheritance.
King Quan summoned his army of hounds with a wave of his hand. It was a mighty army. The hound groups were like the sea, engulfing the Wu clan village.
King Xin was speedy and agile, moving like a specter. She killed all of the Wu clan’s higher-ups, causing them to have no leaders and fall into chaos.
King Bao was violent and direct. His attacks shook the heavens. He triggered the explosion of the mountain rocks.
The Three Kings exterminated the mighty and invincible Wu Clan in three days.
The three mountains’ spirit springs were destroyed. The corpses lined the mountain trails, blood pouring on the ground. It was a grotesque sight.
Wu clan was wiped out, but the three kings paid a heavy price.
However, they were willing to do so for the sake of revenge.
After getting their revenge, the three kings felt that life had lost meaning. They did not want to rebuild the Wang clan, as a clan, no matter how strong they were, could not defend against true experts.
They started living in seclusion, no longer coming out. They vanished like three shooting stars after causing the shocking event on the southern border. They disappeared quickly, never to be heard from again.
The information of the Three Kings spread after their inheritance surfaced.
‘King Quan was an Enslavement Path Gu Master who controlled canines, specifically—dogs. King Xin was an accomplished assassin and a Refinement Path expert. King Bao was a Fire Path Gu Master. Of course, their Inheritance being the same is still speculation. A lot is in the grey and unknown.’
Lo Jik muses.
This Inheritance is undoubtedly a heaven-sent opportunity. But he isn’t hurried. Others don’t even know how to enter the Inheritance ground yet. The Three Kings were also Demonic Gu Masters. Their tests will be nothing to scoff at.
‘Even if it’s an excuse, an Inheritance Ground may have resources that can also set my Refinement Path,’ Lo Jik clicks his tongue. Hesitation briefly fills him before he shakes his head.
‘I don’t have many Enslavement Gu from the Rock Gambling. I have no experience in Fire Path either. I’m already a Master in Refinement Path but lack a Gu Set around it. On the contrary, my Strength Set and Attainment resonate with the Transformation Path due to the Little Giant King Gu. I also invested in several Gambling Rocks with weak Transformation Path Gu. It’s better to see it through.’
‘Also, it takes me four months. The Feng Yu Manor speculates this inheritance is a Grand Event of the recent decades. It will attract more attention. Things will be chaotic for months. Many Super Clans will send their forces, and several Demonic Experts will resurface. I can think about advancing my Enslavement Path after I digest these Transformation Gu.’
His gaze shimmers.
‘Then there’s Su Shou. She will come to the same conclusion.’
His gaze turns calculative.
He has a deadline of June.
But should he wait that long? He may not be Su Shou’s peer in Cultivation, but he can use other means to catch her off guard.
It may even allow him to earn some leeway.
And if Su Shou is insincere, Lo Jik shouldn’t wait till the appointed time either way.
As they say, strike the iron when it’s hot.
But it’s wiser to wait for more information. Lo Jik will only reach out to her once he knows it will take time for the Three Kings’ Inheritance to find their fated parties.
Otherwise, won’t he be a pauper who acted recklessly while a lucky chump already took away the Inheritance?
Days fly by, and the news about the entry requirements spread like wildfire!
A Rank 1 Dog Enslavement Gu, Rank 2 Paper Crane Gu, and Rank 1 Exploding Egg Gu!
A Gu Master can contest for King Quan’s Inheritance site with a Rank 1 Dog Enslavement Gu.
One can enter King Xin’s Inheritance Site with a Rank 2 Paper Crane Gu!
And favors of King Bao await for a mere Rank 1 Exploding Egg Gu.
How could the news not send a massive ripple in the Shang Clan?
The previous shock of Lo Jik and Bai Ning Bing surpassing Ju Kai Bei and Yan Tu fades as all the Gu Masters in the Clan hunger for the three Gu Worms, causing their prices to rise!
Two weeks pass by like so.
Lo Jik cultivates patiently, unmoved by the exaggerated tales from the San Cha Mountain. The Shang Clan sent several forces into the Mountain, temporarily cutting the Inheritance from others. However, Wu Clan’s forces contested and caused chaos.
The excitement for the Inheritance peaked once the news of the Three Kings’ Inheritance being based on an Immortal’s Blessed Land spread!
A Blessed Land!
As the name suggests, it’s a land of blessing—an Immortal’s residence. It attracted heavy attention from several nearby forces. At the same time, Lo Jik confirmed that the Inheritance test is divided into tens of layers.
It’s adequate.
This Inheritance will suffice.
Lo Jik wasn’t moved by the news of the Blessed Land. All he cares about is the Platinum Achievement.
So, he makes his move.

Su Shou looks at some documents about the Three Kings’ Inheritance. Her intrigue in the inheritance is not with benefits but with her freedom. She wishes to escape Yan Fei’s control.
The woman drops the documents after a while before sighing.
She suddenly blinks once she notices a change in her investigative Gu set around the courtyard. Su Shou tidies her desk and waits.
*Knock Knock*
“Come in,” Su Shou responds calmly as a familiar figure enters her private study. The youth nods at her before sitting. His gaze rests on her before he whispers, “Senior Chen Jiu.”
Su Shou’s eyes brighten.
“Good,” Shu Shou… Chen Jiu nods. She informed Lo Jik to use her first name if he agreed to her proposal. Seeing him accept it after his display against Ju Kai Bei relieves Chen Jiu. “Before we begin, I must ensure your heart aligns with our objective.” Her expression turns impassive as she doesn’t waste time with formalities. A pale blue wooden mask appears on her hand as she introduces the Gu.
“It’s a Rank 4 Liar’s Mask Gu,” she reveals. “This Gu doesn’t consume Primeval Essence. It’s like the Bamboo Gentleman. I will ask you a few questions once you wear the mask. It will turn black or white if you are honest or lying. Don’t think about cheating this Gu. It doesn’t react to your bodily function but spiritual fluctuations.”
Lo Jik reaches out and inspects the Gu. He expresses his curiosity. “This is the first time I’ve seen a Gu like this. Did you refine it yourself, Senior Chen Jiu?”
“Don’t waste my time,” she drily remarks. “Wear the mask.”
Lo Jik frowns. “How can I be sure this isn’t a Restriction Gu Worm? I’m sorry. But my thoughts don’t matter if we’re establishing firm rules.”
“It matters to me,” Chen Jiu’s tone doesn’t leave room for rebuttal as Lo Jik gives her a flat stare. The negotiations stall before even beginning as Lo Jik places the mask on the desk.
She slowly reveals, “You can also use it while holding the Gu.”
“Ah, I see,” Lo Jik nods and picks up the mask. However, he doesn’t put it on his face as he affirms. “Please clear your doubts, Senior Chen Jiu.”
She snorts. Her question is a difficult one. It’s broad and vague, intent on tripping the opponent.
“Do you have any ill intentions?”
Lo Jik grows silent. He quietly thinks it through as Chen Jiu observes the youth. She tries to find any faults in his body as minutes pass by. Lo Jik’s lack of answer makes Chen Jiu glare at the youth until he slowly opens his lips.
“Aside from sleeping with you? None.”
The corners of Chen Jiu’s eyes twitch as her alluring face reveals frosty killing intent once she watches the blue mask turn white.
“Lies mean white; truth turns the mask black. Good. Deceiving scum! Your’s and Yan Fei’s kind ought to burn in the Death Obsession Domain!” Her Rank 5 Middle Stage aura bursts and pressures Lo Jik as he calmly glances at the mask in his hand. He quietly puts it on, unfazed. His gaze lands on the furious woman as he repeats.
“I intend to sleep with Senior Chen Jiu. No. I’d like to do ‘everything’ with Senior Chen Jiu. It involves positions that will put the filthiest whores of the Brothels to shame. But aside from ensuring you don’t walk straight for a week, I don’t have other ill intentions.”
Chen Jiu chokes on her saliva as Lo Jik pulls the mask from his face.
It’s still white.
“I think someone tampered with this Gu. I never lie about the women I wish to bed.”
He places the Gu on the table as Chen Jiu finds her previous momentum vanished into thin air. She glares down at the youth, gritting her jaw. His bold, stupefying words aggrieve AND anger the peerless Chen Jiu.
Not even Shang Yan Fei dared to speak to her in this manner. He presented a scholarly disposition, sweet nothings, and gentle promises. Chen Jiu already knew about Lo Jik’s desires.
She just…
Never expected him to be so shameless about them!
“This Gu isn’t tampered with,” Chen Jiu snorts. “I was testing your mind. Won’t I be in a thick pickle if you lose composure against a Rank 5 Gu Master?” She narrows her eyes and retrieves the mask.
“So, you intend to help me against Shang Yan Fei?”
Lo Jik grows quiet before sighing. “I intend to help myself.”
“By sleeping with me?” She sneers.
“Oh, no.” He laughs. “That’s like a pat on the back for a job well done.”
“You call me a Senior, but you plan on using my weakness to defile me!” She hisses.
“Yes,” Lo Jik admits without missing a beat.
Chen Jiu massages her forehead. “Your nature might be a problem, Lo Jik. But read this first.”
She takes out a thick stack of parchments.
The parchments include the content for the vow—an unbreakable contract. Lo Jik starts reading, knowing they don’t need additional fanfare. It’s just an initial stage. Lo Jik also has his demands as he questions things simultaneously.
“First and foremost, Senior Chen Jiu. We must have a scapegoat. Your flesh and body must not survive after fulfilling its purpose of delaying Shang Yan Fei.”
“Hmm,” Chen Jiu nods calmly. “I already prepared a Rank 4 Decade Rest Gu. It allows my body to enter a restful state. Rank 4 and 5 Gu Masters use it when planning closed-door cultivations. It can stall Yan Fei for a few years due to my unwillingness to remain in his control. Yan Fei will believe I’m trying to break free. But he has confidence in the Blood Shadow Immortal Gu. He won’t bother me unless there’s a crucial event.”
“But your body can become a clue, too,” Lo Jik points out. “How are you planning to deal with that?”
She smirks maliciously. “I will use a Killer Move on myself using the Decade Rest Gu. It’s a consumable Gu, and the Killer Move won’t lift before ten years. My body will self-destruct if someone tries waking me up before a decade passes.”
Lo Jik frowns. He recalls how Yan Fei wouldn’t let her self-detonate.
Chen Jiu notices his doubt. “The Killer Move’s primary objective is the user’s safety. Using the Decade Rest Gu puts the Gu Master in a dazed state. They can be schemed against during this time. The Killer Move ensures the Gu Master’s secret. If disturbed, it will kill the Gu Master and take down the enemy. So, it’s not a malicious suicide but an act of self defense.”
Chen Jiu doesn’t stint on the details. She reveals how the Killer Move works. Only then does Lo Jik sigh in relief.
“This section,” he soon frowns. “It states you intend to use the Heavenly Specter Gu. The Rank 5 Heavenly Specter rests inside a host in continuous contact with the Gu Master for five years. Do you have such an item?”
“Of course,” Chen Jiu smiles.
Lo Jik sighs. “But I can’t accept Senior Chen Jiu appearing whenever she likes. First, Heavenly Specters are weak under sunlight. Although Heavenly Specters have some battle strength, they can become a weakness. Second, it infringes on my secrets. It would be another matter if I allow you to leave your host.”
“Impossible!” her gaze turns chilling. “How is it different from being imprisoned in my body?”
Lo Jik is prepared for such topics. The duo discuss for several minutes before compromising.
Lo Jik gets his peace during nighttime. Chen Jiu will be restricted from 10 pm to 5 am. She can only leave her host item with Lo Jik’s permission. However, she has her freedom for the remaining time. She can stay inside her host item to spread her senses or appear outside.
“But you have to add another condition,” Chen Jiu demands. “You must never intend to harm me.”
The previous conditions were about restricting actions that could harm Chen Jiu. However, the current restriction is more severe.
“How would I know if an act can turn disastrous?” Lo Jik counters. “I can accept not taking action when it could harm our partnership and your goals. But what if there’s a situation where only one of us survives?”
Chen Jiu sneers. “Indeed. What if? Did you expect to possess everything I own without any assurances?”
Lo Jik takes a softer approach. “I can agree to the terms—Not taking actions to harm you or your goals unless my survival is on the line.”
“No! That’s too broad. What will I do once you encounter a panting dog and suddenly think—Fuck. This injured dog can kill me.” Chen Jiu rejects it.
They enter another round of discussion.
It’s another compromise.
Lo Jik won’t choose her over his life. However, Chen Jiu can refrain from teaching Lo Jik everything she knows aside from the promised rewards.
He then glances at the rewards he will be getting before discussing how Chen Jiu plans to get everything to him.
Once satisfied, Chen Jiu takes out a Rank 5 consumable Gu—Soul Oath Gu. This Gu is like a leather book. Whatever they speak turns into written letters on the empty pages of the book before it explodes into blue light and enters the duo’s bodies.
Lo Jik feels something ethereal latch onto his ‘spirit.’
Even Chen Jiu nods with satisfaction.
“I’m surprised,” she reveals. “I thought you would include your other ‘reward’ in the vow.”
“That doesn’t entice me,” Lo Jik shrugs. “You don’t like getting controlled, right? I don’t want a half-hearted night, Chen Jiu.” She notices the shift in how he addresses her. “It would also be a shame if your last experience in flesh and body with your new partner is due to a contract.”
She giggles softly.
“But it also allows me to change my mind. Leave. I don’t intend to sleep with you. What can you do about it?”
Lo Jik returns a bright grin.
“Me? Nothing. I shall take my leave then.”
Lo Jik stands as Su Shou’s eyes bulge before she hisses.
“Sit your ass down!”
