Chapter 14: Are all fathers terrible people?

<Fufufu~ Comfy~...>Eel would be embracing the darkness while feeling her whole body wrapped in a warmth. Soon though she would feel something force it’s way into her mouth. It felt hard but not too big. It twisted in her mouth, dropping it’s contents. It was a very familiar thick, goopy feeling with a fruity taste. Though, over all, everything else was overpowered by a salty bitterness.Someone wouldn’t normally enjoy such a taste… But it would also seem to Eel that she was far from normal. Upon savoring the taste as the object tried to leave her mouth. Her eyes opened to look towards her left as she saw a familiar set of droopy brown eyes and pouting lips with a cute little nose. Her eyes were red and slightly poofy however, seemingly having been crying quite a bit. Currently she was holding a bowl in her left and a spoon in her right as she looked at Eel. “I should’ve guessed you’d wake up with this stuff involved…” <Emily>She seemed a little relieved as her tensed up shoulders drooped and she sniffled softly, rubbing the bottom of her nose with the back of her right hand.“Eh, are you alright?” <Eel>Eel would frown softly, not particularly enjoying seeing a teary eyed Emily but to that question Emily would quietly put the bowl down onto the side table before turning back. Taking a deep breath before letting out the loudest voice her little throat would allow.“No, I’m not okay! Y-you-! Why?!” <Emily><Ah~ still so cute~!>Was her thought on what should’ve been a loud voice but due to the girls already timid voice it hardly carried making it seem far quieter. Emily was currently hitting Eel’s chest over and over with bawled fits - it wouldn’t be enough to hit the {High-Dragon} but it was clear to see the girl was very angry with her at least. “Do what?” <Eel>It was the only thing she could ask in this situation as she didn’t understand what she could’ve done wrong. Unless...<Does she-... Does she blame me for taking so long to rescue her? It must’ve been quite scary…>“Listen, I’m sorry for taking so lo-” <Eel> “I don’t care about how long you took! Why did you have to get hurt?!” <Emily>Looking up at Eel; Emily had water filling those droopy eyes that threatened to spill into a torrent of tears. Usually she’d call it cute, it was even with the snot rolling down from her nostrils, but the tear in her heart prevented her from thinking such.“I-... There was no other way I could think to sav-” <Eel>“But why?! You don’t even know why they captured me do you, it’s because I haven’t told you anything because I’m a bad, unwanted mis-!” <Emily>Before Emily could finish her line, similar to when they first met, Eel interrupted her. Except this time she decided to do it in a more fun way since the girl was already crying at this time. She would simply grab her nose making her voice go all nasally and not worry about the snot that got on her finger and thumb as she just smiled smugly at the girl. “Fufufu~ You think that hurt though? Hardly~! I’d rather feel that than feel another blow to my solar plexus~!” <Eel>“B-but-...” <Emily>Emily’s voice still nasally as Eel refused to let it go.“But nothing. I’m sorry it makes you so sad but I’m not sorry I did it. In fact, I refuse to apologize for stopping my best friend from getting kidnapped so stop crying or I’ll begin to tickle you!” <Eel>The tears began to well up again but she bit her bottom lip and nodded, Eel letting the girl go finally as she sniffled and tried to get it under control. Meanwhile, Eel would just reach over for her well deserved meal. Grabbing the bowl and spoon and nomming down with a happy look on her face.“Can… Can I tell you about my mom?” <Emily>Hearing that Eel would nearly choke on her porridge (but with how thick it was that wasn’t exactly hard to do. “Eh - I mean if you want to tell me I’ll hear you out…” <Eel>“W-well it may take awhile if I explain all the details… You have {Appraisal Control} like the owner, right? Could you perhaps use that?” <Emily>She wasn’t one to refuse Emily.“Right, just tell me what to look at when I have it open then… {Appraisal Control}”

<Wo~w, she really is smarter than me! I knew it… And to think that she got that {Title}.>

She would grit her teeth while continuing her thoughts

<From what I know one gets a {Title} when enough people think it represents someone or someone of great influence believes so. To have either think about someone like Emily who couldn’t hurt a fly… Eh, where’s the breasts on her?>Seeing that certain {Racial Skill}  Eel’s head would instantly shoot down to the girls washboard… Though considering she was also a washboard; as neither had hit puberty; she probably shouldn’t have thought such things.Of course, Emily would notice the glance and would cover her chest and blush.“B-{Big Breasts} is more of a support skill… Though it aids in growth probably. That one doesn’t matter as much though - please check {Mana Regeneration}, {Milkers} and with your skill being an evolution it should say a bit about {Mino}’s living conditions, right?” <Emily>To that, she simply nodded and continued on as requested.

Status: {Skill}Name: {Mana Regeneration}Details: Boost mana recovery based on level of skill.Status: {Skill}

Name: {Milker}

Details: One's body can produce its own milk permanently - different from a pregnancy induced lactation (though more will be produced as a result) as the milk created from this skill can produce added effects depending on race and sometimes individual. The users natural scent will match that of their milk as in truth the properties of their whole body is influenced.

Status: {Core Race}Name: {Mino}Attribute Points Per Level: 3

Details: (commonly referred to as {Cow-People}) are higher form of {Beast-People} with the males leaning towards {Vit} & {Str} while women seem to have higher {Int} & {Wis} with a rare skill called {Mana Regeneration} that directly increases ш/s . They live quite a nomadic form so are very rare in a normal capacity but their woman are naturally voluptuous but on top of that with their {Milker} skill they produce milk that produces the same effect as {Mana Regeneration} at a larger quantity and quality than a regular mana potion. The tribes do sell this when they require aid but moves have regularly been made on the tribes (making them even more illusive) since one woman can quickly produce more sources. |>

<A picture is starting to form and I’m not sure I like the background used. So then that first {Title}...>Seeing Eel’s smug, happy face turn into a frown that couldn't be helped even when shoveling her face with her porridge Emily would guess that the girl would have likely guessed some parts.“My mother was kidnapped from {Moolesh Mountain Range} by the aid of the city's lord - my… Father. I don’t know his name though since he never talked to me - I only found out from the people in charge of feeding me and when he came to… Use my mom. According to owner and boss they almost certainly caught her for the {Mino} {Milker}; that works well with {Mana Regeneration}; {Racial Skill} in order to create a sustainable output of something that could replace {Mana Potion}s to sell… Based on what they did to mom...” <Emily>Seemingly thinking of something, her eyes teared up and she seemed to gaze off into the distance.“M-mommy was always hooked up to tubes… One pumping her mouth full of some fluid that I too was forced to eat, it seemed a lot like the porridge you like but like water. There were two more at the back though, one stuck up her bum and another in her pee-hole to suck up her poop and pee - they made sure to leave her ‘open for use’ though…” <Emily><So this is the man my father's closest supporter then? Could I ever tell Emily that my father is in charge of the people who did this to her mom.>She wanted to reach out and tell the girl to stop or bring her into a hug - long since losing her mood to eat… But she couldn’t find the strength to.“The last two were on glasses stuck onto her breast and they were constantly just sucking… I don’t remember a time in my 6 years with mommy where her breasts weren’t red but at the same time empty looking. Likely because everything she had was going through those tubes. In order to produce the most, after a few years of having her captured, they decided to make her pregnant but prevent her from actually completing the pregnancy. Just using magic or potions to keep her baby from finishing development…”And so the pieces began to fall into place for the {Title}.“The first time they tried they messed up - I don’t know how but I was born but, even then I’ve never seen mommy smile. Her eyes always just looked… Empty. Like a dead person. But sometimes when she was looking at me I felt- I felt like she was angry at me. I don’t even think I heard her voice. One day they seemed to have left the mouth tube off and she took advantage of the situation and bit her own tongue off… I… I decided it was best if I didn’t call anyone...” <Emily>With that last straw the damn finally broke and she sobbed like never before.At this point Eel didn’t really care about her father or Emily’s - she just knew this girl needed someone to rest on right now so she pulled her closer with her tai- <W-wait, has that been hugging her all this time?! No, not time to think about that right now!>So she would pull the girl into her embrace, softly letting the girl rest her teary eyes onto her left shoulder while her hand stroked her head. The left hand came back and gently rubbed the girls back while the tail would make sure to keep her warm in it’s own embrace.Soon she was ready to continue but this time from the safety of Eel’s embrace.“I was constantly referred to as {The Spare} or rather it seemed they planned to treat me exactly the same but… Boss says she thinks I got lucky. {Mino} aren’t widely understood due to being nomadic but it is know that the smell of those with the {Milker} {Skill} will smell like milk but it’s likely that it won’t actually start till seven - similar to how other {Core Races} can’t level up before then. They didn’t seem to know that so after mom… Died, I was put up on sale because I didn’t smell like milk. They seemed to have picked up interest in me for some reason and not only that but I also split that you smell like milk…” <Emily>“Eh~ I don’t smell like milk? I’m not a…” Her mind shifts to her favourite meal that she was constantly warned by Ali about. Making an ‘Oh~’ face of realization she would move her hands to slap her palm softly. Seeing this action which lacked all sense of tension, Emily couldn’t help letting out a snicker that slowly turned into a full blown giggle. While she was having her fun Eel decided to do a quick check on her stats to confirm her suspicions.

<Damn~ I’m swimming in {AP} but Lisa did tell me not to spend all my currency in one place~! Hm~... AH! They’re there! Well I suppose Ali wasn’t talking nonsense after all~ well not that it matters~! I suppose logic dictates that if their milk is based on {Mana Regeneration} mine will be based on {Regeneration}? Ah~ becoming a living health pot brewer doesn’t sound promising so I best avoid that shitty {Dwarf}!>

Looking down on the girl who was still laughing she would just nod with a smile.

<Oh and humanization has leveled up and I feel like I can at least freely summon my tail even if it’s clumsy~ plus I got an evolved {Skill} out of it~>Nodding with a smile as the door would slowly be pushed open and Ali would be stood there with some food. Though it wasn’t for Eel as it clearly wasn’t porridge! (Which also meant it clearly wasn’t made by Ali.)“Ah… So you're awake…” <Ali>Ali would obviously look quite sullen but didn’t know what to say. <She must not like the fact I got hurt I suppose but isn’t as childish as Emily about it… I suppose sometimes being a child has its advantages.>“Yea~ I even grew a tail in the meanwhile~” <Eel>After saying that though she made the tail shrink and vanish back into her back, at least getting the hang of that. <Seems there were also some scales left on my back… But what interests me more...>She felt a change in her eyes and when she looked towards a simple mirror on the desk between the beds she would see her eyes but without the slits. A small change but a very important one because now she could basically pass for a regular {Elf} with no issues. Seemed any more level would just be to denote her progress in mastering her ability to half-shift like she did with her tail and scales.“So, Lyada managed to capture one alive?” <Eel>Deciding to bring it to a topic which was important enough at the moment to get rid of the awkward silence since her ‘joke’ failed to get any reaction.“Yea, with Leaf’s help I just finished interrogating them but the information is...” <Ali>“It was from the lord’s aid wasn’t it?” <Eel>“So you heard? Yea, he seems to be having trouble getting any more {Cow-People} ever since the first 10 years ago so he’s panicking that he’ll run out now that he’s even more limited with {Evergreen} making their move. This, we had guessed from the information from the {Adventurers Guild}, but what we didn’t know… He’s got a huge stockpile already built up due to his ‘efficiency’ in the mater…” <Ali>Her gaze fell towards Emily with that last line as she let out a long sigh.“We had hoped the milk would one dry and the project would be canned for a while but it seems unlikely. But this hasn’t got anything to do with you, you're just a kid with no reason to know. This isn’t something you need to-” <Ali>But her attempts to cut Eel out the picture would fall as flat as Eel’s chest.“They also likely know I have {Milker} as well. Although the effect is different - I’d argue they may be even more interested in {Regeneration Lvl 7} Milk… Oh and I think Emily said it was strawberry~” <Eel>Ali would just frown while looking at Eel in a far from amused face.“I told y-” <Ali>“I don’t care.” <Eel>“Your being chi-” <Ali>“I am a child. A child who happens to have the {Hero} {Class}, be a {High-Dragon} that is only mentioned in passing by gods and now will be able to squirt fancy milk from my breasts in the future. I hardly think that last one is that bad in comparison~! Fufufu~!” <Eel>A smug smile appeared on her face as Emily would just be kneeling beside Eel awkwardly while Ali looked somewhere between ‘ready to explode’ and ‘worried for safety’. “Welp, let’s just go out for a walk with Leaf then Emily~!” <Eel>“Y-yes!” <Emily>Not wasting her time in the chance given to get out of this awkward situation. Ali soon just closed her eyes and sighs deeply before following behind the pair.“You forgot to eat Emily…” <Ali>Deciding whether or not she regretted picking up these children right now…***As they got to the main room though in search of Leaf - they would find her there…As well as every girl but Lisa (for reasons that should be obvious) and Lyada. Lyada was probably picked because she was good at dealing with things quickly with minimal effort (or because Lisa was in the middle of using her again). As for why Kee would be away from her lover…“I do beg your pardon for my intrusion on you girls.” <Eric>Kee would be stood in front of the girls, arms crossed and her tail more spiky than it’s usually fluffy appearance. She would be looking down (quite far) on a small man of about 4 feet. He would be wearing a typical ‘butler’ suit complete with a golden monocle and chain over the left eye. His brown hair swept back with not a speck of hair on his chiseled jaw.A rich {Dwarf}.“We’ll welcome nearly any person through those doors at night but you are on a fine line to changing that policy, fucker. Not only do you come to us during the day you do so after constant attempts to get myself and others pregnant!” <Kee>And Kee knew it was him! She knew from the smell!She knew she couldn’t assault him though… Well, she could but it would cause more problems than it was worth. Her bloodthirsty aura of intimidation though? That wasn’t assault.

Under the attempt of the C-Rank Adventurer to make him piss his pants, what was he to do but sweat bullets.

“Kee as much as I wanna  sock him - we have to let him go since we have no evidence so we’d just look like we beat the shit out of a client. Let’s just hear out why he’s here.” <Fuka>The always jovial Fuka… Lacked a smile. She had not been the most affects by this man, she was simply 'too bellow him' in his own words. However, he had tried to do this trick to every single other girl - Kat and Aby were the primary targets and Kat had even broken into the tears at the thought of having a baby - even had the balls to do it to Lisa in front of Kee. Though, the beast girls Kee and (even her own hermaphrodite girlfriend) Lyada had fallen victim - hell Alicia herself wasn't safe from the bastard so no way he'd let off the adorable Leaf.

The reason why they hadn't retaliated though was simple. They had a reputation to uphold as a business while he had no such problem - whether he hoped to poke the bear and hope the bear got exterminated before it mauled him or simply enjoyed causing misery to them was unknown. And on top of all this, this 'man' had harmed her precious junior and done terrible things to another. She was good at moving forward but that didn’t mean she could forgot.“I thank you for calming down the beast but I’d like to talk to someone with a bit more… Class.” <Eric>He said with a soft grin as if what he said wasn’t an insult but rather just a fact. While it may have been true that the two lacked such it certainly was a dick move from someone walking into their home.But still, Ali stepped in before a dead body was produced.“So, why have you come here?” <Ali>“Ah, yes, you see I’ve heard about an unfortunate incident where one of your girls - a little violet haired {Wood-Elf} was gravely injured while protecting another. A {Beast-Kin} girl…”The grinding of Kee’s fangs could be heard as her eyes seemed to almost glow with blood. Similar to how calling a half-{Dragon} {Sub-Dragon} is like calling them a wild animal - {Beast-Kin} is referring to {Beast-People} as nothing but a group of beasts.The slight difference in language was a clear insult - even Eel knew that much.Emily would just be too scared of the man to even think about it though, going to her natural place behind Eel as she too gnashed her own fangs (though they had vanished with her imitating an elf.“I simply thought that she should be quite scared and unsightly even with your healing - being as far as you were at the time - unable to be put to work in a high-class establishment like this I thought I’d offer to take them both into my estate as important workers as I shan’t be one to tear such a heartwarming relationship apart. Surely you wouldn’t be? They will even get special treatment from us, I have a contract here with those exact words and am willing to put 10 small gold down for the two of them.”<Yea… Real special treatment. He sure works fast>And so, that was Eel’s first meeting with the man she would hate the most in this city.
